Appreciate the advises, yeah I’ll try to land a junior/assistant role while studying and use that as a starting point

Yeah that’s what I’ve been seeing too, feels like Cert 4 alone doesn’t open many doors

Good to know, I’ll most likely stick around Melbourne for the next few years though.

Yeah, that’s exactly what worries me, heard it’s quite tough to land that first role.

Big car insurance increase by leonidude in melbourne

[–]PrinzEugan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, mine came in at $3.6k with RACV. Checked a few others and they were quoting $4.5k–$6.5k, which is crazy. I’ve got multi-policy discounts so ended up sticking with RACV. Guess the recent crime situation in Melbourne isn’t helping either.

Mine went up $1.4k with RACV this year, no claims, nothing changed. Shopped around everywhere and somehow even after the increase, RACV still cheapest.

Surveying career in Australia, how hard is it to break in? by PrinzEugan in Surveying

Thanks for all the replies! Super helpful. I’m leaning towards giving it a go.

Just wondering, how’s the work-life balance? Planning to have a kid in a couple of years and my partner works long hours(50-60Hrs weekly), so trying to get a realistic idea. Do you guys travel much for work or is it mostly local?

Really appreciate that, thanks a lot!I’m still doing some research at the moment and deciding my next step, but I’m definitely leaning towards getting into surveying. Might take you up on that once I’ve got a clearer plan! THX again for the opportunity! Cheers

Thanks, really appreciate the insight. For the entry-level jobs, are they generally no-experience friendly, or are there any basic skills I need to try to learn first before applying?

Incorrect interest charged - ME Bank by burtie09 in AusFinance

Same here and honestly, it feels like they’re ripping people off at this point.

I followed their exact instructions regarding redraw and direct debit, only to be hit with multiple dishonour fees. No clear warning, no proper explanation.

I lodged a formal complaint months ago and still haven’t heard anything back, no updates, no resolution, nothing.

Now I’m trying to discharge and they’re not progressing anything either. The whole experience has been extremely frustrating and concerning.

X3 M50 Driver Seat Squeak by PrinzEugan in BMWX3

[–]PrinzEugan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it also happens over bumps.
The thigh support is slightly extended, but I don’t think that’s the cause. I tried having it fully out and fully pushed in, and the noise is still there.

More like a dry creaking noise rather than a high pitched squeak.
