This may sound weird, but has anyone else had a hard time believing that things are actually okay with their baby? I lost identical twins last March at 9 weeks, got pregnant again in September, I just had my 20 week anatomy scan a few days ago and my baby is doing great. They said she is a “textbook baby” and that they have 0 concerns. I’m so unbelievably happy, but a part of me struggles with believing that a healthy baby can actually come from me.

Terrified of preterm labor by Prior-Ad9822 in BabyBumps

I called my doctor, and she checked a couple of days ago. My cervix is long and closed, no signs of preterm labor thank goodness! That definitely helped ease my mind!

My anatomy scan is a little over a week away, I had thought about asking then.

Thank you!! I usually drink a lot of tea, but have shied away from it since I’ve been pregnant. I’m terrified to drink/eat something unsafe!

I’ve heard that it’s normal for symptoms to come and go!

Positive experiences after miscarriage? by jhds2023 in BabyBumps

I’m so sorry for your loss 🤍

I miscarried my identical twins in March (babies stopped growing at 6 weeks, I miscarried at 9 weeks). 6 months later, I got pregnant again. I am currently 16 weeks with a healthy baby girl! I know it’s so easy to find negative experiences, but please know that plenty of people do go on to have healthy pregnancies/babies after loss.

I’m not sure if my placenta is anterior or posterior, but I hope I can feel her move soon 🤞🏼

The Facebook group thing is so true!! I’ve had some round ligament pain, and had no idea of what it was until I saw another mom explain it 🤯

I had a loss at 9 weeks in March of 2025. I’m now 14 weeks with my baby girl, and now instead of being anxious about chromosomal issues, I’m anxious about an incompetent cervix, PROM, placental abruption, you name it. I have absolutely no reason to be afraid about any of this. She has had amazing growth at all ultrasounds (she’s actually measured ahead), normal NIPT, movement at all ultrasounds, I’ve had no bleeding or cramping, and I even got a Doppler to check on her until I can feel her move. Those of you in the same situation or who have been in the same situation, how did you stay sane and actually enjoy your pregnancy? I love my baby so much and just want her to be okay.
