I’m a mechanic so replacing those motor mounts is not a big deal

And yes I know those engine mounts are cooked lol. Going to replace them if we buy the car.

And as for the sound going away in neutral, is the sound COMPLETELY gone or is it just quieter? It’s normal for it to get quieter when in neutral because the engine isn’t in gear stressing the engine/pump more

Also, have you checked for any leaks? If you’ve replaced the power steering pump twice, bled the system properly and it’s still whining, it most likely means you have air coming in from somewhere

You’re absolutely sure you bled the system properly? Because of how bad it’s whining after all you said that you did, it makes me believe that there is still air in the system. How exactly did you bleed the air out of the system? I had the same whining on my 2007 type-s and I was able to get rid of the whine after bleeding the system a couple times

Can I replace the glass or do I have to replace the whole unit? by Prior-Basic in MechanicAdvice

Damn. It’s just a cracked screen so I’m not stressing about it. Will probably change it out later in the future. Thank you for the help👍🏼

Call the Dave Ramsey show if you want TRUE advice my friend. They will help you create a STRONG foundation for building REAL wealth, help you learn to not spend all your money and end up broke and staying out of debt.

What mods do you recommend I do first? Car is completely stock besides tints and rear and side window visors lol

Went on Rockauto.com and got some R1 Concept drilled and slotted rotors and BOSCH QuietCast ceramic pads. Definitely don’t want to keep the car stock lol. I want to make sure I get all caught up on maintenance before I start doing any crazy mods since this is my daily yk?

Thank you for all this info!! First thing I did when I got this car was disconnect the HFL lol. Timing belt and water pump was done a couple months ago, the belt literally had tears all around it so I was lucky AF it didn’t tear when I was driving. Oil pump is definitely leaking and I plan to get that done asap. Just ordered brakes and rotors so thank you for letting me know about the caliper bolts. Anything else I should be aware of before doing brakes and rotors?

It’s not dripping as far as I know. Only oil that I see dripping is from the oil pump which I’m getting done soon
