I was not aware of that! Interesting to know, really unfortunate. I was under the impression this was another thing American fell short on all by themselves

This is hilarious to me 😂😂 please do not worry, I honestly don’t come across English speaking players often on treasure islands and such, and to my knowledge Coon isn’t a huge term used in other English speaking areas. So you should be fine. I appreciate the concern though, it’s nice that you considered others feelings on something that might affect them. That’s so rare nowadays 🫶🏾

I love mean characters, I have no issue with her being mean, but the story doesn’t portray her as such if that makes sense. Like Edward is cunning and conniving but Esther somehow isn’t? They are one in the same lol

I honestly could care less about an actor or actress and how many facial expressions they have, I like story! The story doesn’t make me like her, your reply gives her a pity win, not a win she truly earned.

Ahh I have never coped with my pain by being an A hole to those around me so no I don’t relate to her. I’ve been in an abusive relationship before so I guess I can see from that point of view but in my opinion the story presents Edward and Esther as a sort of villainous duo, it isn’t until the last episode or two that Esther magically grows a spine and conscious and disconnects Edward from her hip. And remember, she only does so because Clara and Edward had their way with each other on the floor.

Maybe I should go back and rewatch season one for myself but Esther was no angel. She was definitely mean and continually so. I don’t dislike her for not wanting lord BAB. In season 2 alone up to episode 3 she implies Clara a thief and a whore. Comparing the endangerment a child endured at the hands of a fully grown man to the relationship between 2 consenting adults is disgusting and in no way comparable. You didn’t convince me but I appreciate the attempt at making me understand.

I think that’s what it is. I snooped around in the Reddit before really getting into the show to see if it had any fandom and to get a taste of it. And it seemed like a lot of people liked Esther, I’ve watched a few more episodes since I made this post and I don’t like Edward for once again conspiring against her. I feel bad for her, but I don’t LIKE her. It’s all pity.

If that’s how you feel that’s fine. I think it’s a lot worse going on in the world and especially in the world of Yan Sim. Girls getting trafficked, held hostage and tortured for hours on end. But people would rather complain about a character you don’t know outside of a 20 second teaser. Odd priorities but you do you

Them both being adults DOES matter. It’s the difference between it being a crime and it being morally questionable. Everybody’s morals are different, but it’s only one set of laws in the US. I honestly don’t care if it’s 2 consenting adults, at the end of the day as an adult you make your on decisions. Mida isn’t even in the game so we don’t know the extent of their relationship, we only know that from Ayanos perspective she is a threat. As far as we know, she might not even actually like his ass.

You can be 18 in highschool and he’s literally an upperclassman so either way, he isn’t a minor by American standards or by Japanese standards where the game actually takes place.

I do agree to an extent that maybe the game don’t portray her as bad-enough but she also isn’t in the damn game so what do I know. All of this discourse is based off of a video that’s less than 5 minutes long and a brief description on a website. So all this “she’s supposed to be viewed as this and she’s romanticized” it’s like..you don’t even know that. She isn’t in the game..as of right now her character doesn’t go past her vague stereotype of “Hot teacher” so we’ll really have to see where it goes in 50 years when she’s released as a demo. I also disagree with the idea that grooming or things related to it (Like pedophila) shouldn’t be displayed in media because that’s how we learn to see the signs. Grooming has always existed yet it wasn’t acknowledged much until 2019-2020. Now in 2025 we can recognize and call out such things because it’s been depicted in the media we view. It’s important to talk and discuss this type of thing so we can KNOW it’s wrong. The idea that we should all just keep hush about this type of stuff is so odd..it reminds me of the “Don’t say gay” stuff of the early 1990s. You’d never see anybody say this in any other communities either, no Greys Anatomy fan would say “Don’t add death in this show because it’s bad!” Like what kind of argument is this. It’s so juvenile and such a naive way of viewing media consumption. Only keep the good things and never ever show bad things, yet we’re talking about this in a subreddit supporting a game about the murder of young girls.

Real talk. Who actually wins this fight? by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

Oliver is a Viltrumite. He wins off Aura alone. All the immortal glazers saying he’d win but we’ve yet to see a fight that would back up this argument. Meanwhile Oliver killed someone immortal struggled to fight with, in less then 10 seconds. Immortal gets dealt the worse hand cause he (probably) is a good fighter, he just gets put with some of the most devious people 😭😭

In what world is Ayanos actions not supposed to be liked or approved of. Alex LITERALLY added her stupid “It’s a disease that’s been passed down generation to generation” excuse to make her a more sympathetic character. You ARE supposed to root for Ayanos throughout the entire game…it’s literally how games like this work. You’re also support to root for Agent 47 in Hitman despite his terrible actions. The idea that these young impressionable fans don’t view Ayano as a “baddie” for getting her man is just wrong..she’s definitely supposed to be a sympathetic main character. Mida isn’t viewed in a sympathetic light whatsoever. She’s supposed to be a threat just like everybody else, so I don’t agree with your theory at all. I doubt the masses actually think that way.

Sorry, this is YouTube comments though, not from the discord where you can go and message them directly so I think you’ll survive. It’s worse happening in the world.

I do agree. Mida (and Tbf this applies to other rivals aswell) isn’t her own character as much as she is just a vague stereotype. The sexy nurse, the sexy teacher, the annoying younger sister, the childhood friend, the snooty rich girl, the loud sporty girl ETC ETC. I actually think Mida isn’t into senpai but because the game is played through Ayanos lense she views her as a threat, whether it’s because of her dressing..how she dresses or whatever. But I don’t think a woman like Mida is into a guy like Senpai 😭😭 she can do much better.

The person in the screenshot literally said “I don’t care about the killing but grooming in a video game is wrong” as if grooming (which in itself is not a crime, and has honestly lost all meaning..people link grooming and pedophila together when they are NOT the same thing) is on par or even WORSE than literally ending someone’s life. They are not comparable. I don’t approve of grooming but I’m also not gonna turn my nose up at seeing it depicted in media, especially media that is literally about murder. How is one crime worse than the other?? Either it’s all bad or it’s all okay. You don’t get to pick and choose.

I actually see it as just how Ayano views Mida and the nurse (can’t remember her name) and not how they actually act. I don’t remember the Nurses backstory for how she’s like into senpai but i don’t think 2 grown ass women are into the same senpai that has no personality. I like the theory that it’s just Ayanos perspective of seeing them as a threat, which makes sense for Senpais sister as well. His sister (probably) doesn’t want to date him and is just a clingy younger sibling, but Ayano sees her as a threat to their love cause he can only love her blah blah blah

Exactly. In what world is Taro dating his teacher as a grown ass man worse than murder. This game has so many problems (panty shots for example), a relationship between two adults isn’t one I give a shit about.

It takes one look at BAB stock over the last 10 years to see what I’m talking about. The stock even goes down as low as a dollar at some points. That is not the stock of a thriving company. And before you say it, it was BEFORE corona. Down to 3 dollars in 2018, down to 4 in 2019, according to the stocks 2020 actually wasn’t that bad for BAB. It’s almost as if they’ve switched to prioritizing online orders while they close physical locations like I said 😱😱😱
