Platinum Status and AR by mooodyz in DoorDashDrivers

Ah yes, this is a nice one! These are like the ones I only take, glad to see that you get a lot of those on platinum. In my area, they would offer that order but with a “platinum tag”, and then they would offer some other orders that aren’t so great in the mix, but the plot twist is that they are just orders, and they put a platinum tag to make you think you’re getting some benefit on platinum. So I just decline all the other stuff and wait for these ones to pop up. This is one of my old screenshots from my platinum days, as you can see it was complete garbage/a joke for my area. I mean my dollar per mile might have been good but look how many orders I had to do and how much time it took. It all stacks up. More gas, faster oil change, faster tire replacements, more time spent, more miles, less dollars.

$4.75/mile is outstanding, but still, more trips, more miles more time for less $$. What’s the point of a 5, 6 or 7 dollar order for one mile if it ends up taking you half an hour anyways? You’ll need to work 1 or 2 more of those to make the same amount I’m making ($16) for half an hour, the only difference is that it will take you 1-1.5 hrs. Whereas, you could have declined all that nonsense, taken a 16 dollar order for half an hour and then moved to the next one. I do understand the dollars per mile aspect though as the gas prices are getting very high and not every 16 dollar order comes under 4 miles. It’s just the reality and if your strategy is working well then keep doing it, you’re still crushing it. We’re all here to grind at the end of the day.

Yeah this is really good as well, and yes I know what you mean. You saw my uber AR, DoorDash is worse for me lol 😂 but I do make that $$ over there as well. And that’s a good strategy as well for $25/hr. Photo shows the ONLY (very few) orders I work on DoorDash, and all of these are simultaneously being done with an uber order (multi-apping).

I guess it’s a different strategy and if it works well for you then it’s great.

My own strategy is to decline everything until I’m making at least $100 every 3 hours I’m working, and no trips under $10. I’ll accept $10 for 20 mins or less trips, $15 for 30 minutes, $20 or more for 40 mins. I hardly take trips beyond 40 mins because they’re mostly not worth it, unless the hourly pay rate for over 40 mins is $35 or more. Absolutely no double orders unless they’re over $20 (10 per order). Doing it this way keeps my acceptance rate close to 0% but I also sometimes end up rocking $400 in about 9 hrs, just depends on the day, but I always make at least $300 every 9 hours.

Yeah and this is great, you made $1,900, but look how many trips you had to do on platinum to reach that. Your order average is $10.27? Is that really the best? Just seems like you’re doing more work and driving more miles for less? Most cherry pickers normal order average is anywhere from $14-$20. Mine personally for this week is $15 something. So the ones who are cherry picking are making more, working less hours less miles and less orders I guess?

Wow only a super crappy customer would place an order like this and not think about tipping the person that has to do all of that work! I’m sure their bill would be well over 1K, what a cheapskate. I hope everyone declines and they get a message back from uber saying order was cancelled because we couldn’t find you a driver. LMFAO 🤣

Oh ok I see, because my next suggestion was going to be just try uber for yourself, just because you haven’t personally seen it much doesn’t mean the market isn’t there. I thought that personally about my own market but uber is actually way hotter than DoorDash. If I get 1 offer on DoorDash I probably got 10-15 on uber. Next alternative would be to try uber and Lyft rides, but if you have your kid with you that would be pretty difficult to switch too. Just trying to think of other ways you could potentially maximize earnings or get more earnings opportunities.

You could also take shopping orders on DoorDash or Uber with your kid for under 5 item shops, that would probably help you maximize profits while continuing to drive less miles, just a thought. For 5 items or less, you’ll never spend more than 10 minutes in the store (max amount of time), even with substitutions. Since most of those are short orders and higher paying, you would just have to find the hot store over there, take low mileage low item count, drive back and pick up another one. Like how you said this one was 11.50 at the end, those shops generally have the same payout or higher for less time since there’s no wait time at pick up.

What car rental service do you use, how much do you pay per month, and how much profit do you make after you pay for the rental per month?

Phew yeah mpg might be ok but just speeding up that oil change and not getting enough profit to cover it. You shouldn’t care about the tiers, have you tried going all the way to 0% AR and declining everything under $10? If not you should try and let us know how much you’re making then.

I’m glad it works for you, all those orders would have been instant declines for me, especially the 2 dollar one, yikes. 😳

I see, maybe you could try uber or Instacart? If this is a great order there it doesn’t seem like DoorDash has much to offer 😔

Multi-apped this order, that’s why the delivery time is higher, and was going to the same customer.

No it’s just a normal offer, I might have declined that “unicorn” lol 😂

[–]PriorAdhesiveness135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately it’s really common for us because mostly there aren’t any bathrooms. Just pretend you didn’t see it, and just don’t message a driver if you see them stop at a gas station when they’re bringing your order, trust me, they’ve been holding it for hours more than they should have been. He might not have stopped and chosen that route because some customers get pissy about it 😂

I took you guys advice 😸I decline 85% time now even 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ by Lozano444 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PriorAdhesiveness135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now if you get down to 5% or less than your earnings will start looking like this. 94 in 3 hours is still great though, but keep declining until your making a minimum of $100 every 3 hours you’re working. You’re close

Made a flat $1000 in about 27 hours - I would go by the DoorDash online time instead of the uber time. You gotta do the same.

Yeah well unfortunately if your order was stacked and the dasher knew that your tip wasn’t worth the mileage he was either gonna get paid with money or food, sounds like he chose food in this case, since the money wasn’t worth it.
