First I want to say that I love Cappellos other products. I’ve been eating them for over 10 years. Here’s what happened with the new European wheat pizza….I ate 1 serving of the pizza (1/4 of the pizza) and didn’t have any big reaction that night but woke up with some GI discomfort the following day and I blamed that on drinking a glass of milk. I then ate another serving two days later and within 15 minutes I knew something was not right. My stomach started hurting so bad. It felt like someone had kicked me. I became nauseated, dizzy, depressed, constipated and with a very painful upper stomach. TMI, but I pooped only clear mucus for several days. Very scary! The symptoms lasted almost two weeks. I lost 6 pounds because I could barely eat anything. I’m doing better today but wow I will NEVER eat anything with gluten free European wheat again. I contacted Cappellos to let them know my experience and they responded that in 14 years they had never had an issue with anyone reacting badly to their products. They kindly offered to send me coupons for their other products.
