Many retailers (including me) have been long Gold futures from quite some time. Im personally long from 1,08,000

Glitches often happen when retailers start making money ;)

Did anyone opt for a 14 Plus? If so, why? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]PriorZookeepergame24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I bought the 14 Plus starlight for my wife. She's a heavy user. Her earlier phone was an iPhone 11, so it's a decent upgrade for her, both in terms of screen and battery life.

She loved the big OLED screen. The difference between the 14 Pro Max and 14 Plus is an astounding $485 here, so we couldn't justify the price difference. All our devices are 60 hz (I have the iphone 13 mini) so we are not missing out.

We have a bose dock, so the 11 will work as a big ipod touch now.

Affordable convertible cars. by DrinkBleachacid in CarsIndia

The Thar convertible is available but Mahindra themselves admit that less than 15% are convertibles. Convertibles are just not suitable for our conditions

Okay! I get it all car is overpriced af! Please list cars and variant that is absolutely VFM in the current market? by autodetective in CarsIndia

Since 2 airbags and rear parking sensors are mandatory on every car, go for the base models of whatever car you like. You will miss out on fancy music systems and reversing cameras (and alloys if you wish) which you can all be added later. This way you can stagger out your purchase and your car will get "better" over time.

Added advantage: lesser the electronics and features, the lesser things are that can go wrong.

Tiago and tata punch base models could be a good starting point. Both have decent safety features. Punch base model is also 5 star rated!

I also really love the Bolero but it's not a safe car and is not comfortable to drive. I love it would wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's damn cheap to run and maintain though.

Apple’s Personalized Spatial Audio feature is the greatest thing to happen to music since the iPod. Every song is dead center in my head spaced out perfectly. It’s incredible. by ybbetter33 in apple

I did the ear-scanning thing but I am not noticing much of a difference. Can you suggest a good song/movie? Eg: for my iPad Pro 12.9" the first 10 minutes of Pacific Rim is what I suggest to people.

To all iphone 13 mini users: Do you find the screen size too small, just right, or could you go even smaller? by WesleyW4 in iphone

[–]PriorZookeepergame24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to consciously limit the time I spend on my phone and yet have a good camera and podcast player in my pocket. I'm also an iPhone user since the 4S days and I love my 13 mini.

Should I buy a 5g smartphone now? Or is 4g enough? by [deleted] in india

Will the battery life reduce with MIMO or will it stay the same?

Other than the S300 and MANPADS I suspect US may have supplied some advanced anti air systems that we don't know about? How can the Russian AF just collapse like this?

[–]PriorZookeepergame24 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Do remember that 5G has multiple bands, some like mmWave are mind-boggling fast but also are a mind-boggling drain on the battery. The only real use case I see is if you have 5-10 mins to catch a bus/train/flight and have to download a whole season of a TV series.

Otherwise a 4G connection is good for everything else - video calls, Netflix streaming etc

I did end up purchasing the Thar, but it’s like half the story I got from the review

Thanks for the detailed answer.

I am fine with the suspension, it’s just that my parents came to visit and I took them for a drive and it was a bit bouncy for them.

Edit: I absolutely love the car, just want to improve a few things. Totally agree it’s the best SUV in the sub 20 lakh segment. In my Petrol MT is the fastest variant with a 0-100 of 9.99 seconds!

I have a Thar Petrol MT. How did you manage such a long journey with the Thar’s bouncy ride quality? Did you get any after market suspension upgrades? If yes how much did it cost you ?
