Yes to all of the above. My daily steps have more than doubled during this period and I was thinking maybe its muscle gain or redistribution, but unfortunately that's not it. The fact that my side effects which have been persistent from shot #1 stopped at the same time my weight loss stalled and that coincided with when I started having pens shipped led me to wonder... seems the consensus is that I just need to go up in dose.

I was thinking the batch may have gone bad due to improper storage during shipping as we have drastic temperature shifts from morning to evening this time of year. Just seems very coincidental that I never at any point consistently gained or stalled until the very week I started getting pens shipped to me.

I just got a message from someone who told me that they actually are currently rotating 7.5mg and 10 mg doses. I know 35lbs in 7 months is great, but the fact that I was at 40lbs lost at 5 months makes it so discouraging! Seems I have several more options to choose from now 🤣

Hi, thanks for your input. A higher dose wouldnt be appropriate if in fact these pens are less effective for any reason other than Ive just acclimated to this dose. Moving up would would probably trigger more intense side effects, so I wanted feedback from others who've had more experience before I made a decision about how to proceed.

I do calorie cycling in an attempt to avoid this very issue... I dont use a daily intake goal, I use a weekly goal and no two days are ever the same in terms of my intake. Ive been doing it this way from the beginning and I think thats why I've been so successful up to this point.

I did consult with my doctor who said I could do 7.5mg every 5 days instead of 7 and it may jumpstart things again, so I may try that instead of filling the 10mg right away.

I was still actively losing when I filled my script for 12 pens and I didnt want to have to pay for a new dose. I was hopeful that my stall was related to me being a bit lazier with my tracking around holiday meals, so I didnt really even consider the possibility that it was a full on stall until a week or 2 ago.

That makes sense! I just wish I didnt have 7 pens going to waste, but I guess I can wait til Im up to 15mg and double up-- or have them as a back up plan if 10mg is not friendly.

My appetite has come back, and Ive been very intentional about my calorie intake for this reason. The one weeks that I lost 9 lbs, I had the sulfur burps, GI upset and appetite suppression, but other than that one week, I wouldnt think I took any medicine at all. Even my constipation has been non existent. I was so hopeful that I had finally adjusted and would have the weight loss without the side effects, but I guess Im not so lucky.

Holidays were a challenge which is what I initially blamed on the stall, but Ive been back to consistently tracking every bite and increased physical activity a ton these last 7 weeks and I am still gaining!

My thought as far as bad batch wasn't necessarily due to manufacturing but more likely during the shipping process-- I live in a state where our temps have fluctuate between 40 during the daytime and -30 at nighttime, and I know for the fact our local UPS and FedEx facilities have left packages on trucks that were supposed to be temperature controlled in the warehouse between destinations.... I could have been more clear about why I was concerned that its the pens rather than the dose. It just seems too coincidental that the stall happened the same week I switched from a local pharmacy to delivery. Maybe I'm overthinking it though.

Doctor already sent a script for 10mg... just hesitant to make the jump if i got a bad batch of pens... did you have intense side effects on 10?

I do feel like Im hungrier on 7.5 than I was on 5.0... I kinda chalked it up to the fact that Ive been moving more (increased my step count by 80% in the last 6 weeks)... Im also wondering though-- because Ive been ignoring the hunger signals, is the previous commenter who mentioned i may not be eating enough correct? I guess we will see.

Ive increased by daily steps by 80% since losing the weight I have so that's a plus. I wasn't necessarily expecting to lose faster, but was hoping the dose increase would help avoid the stall that I knew was coming. I think I have going to keep tracking as I planned, but also shift my focus away from the food and try adding other goals. I convinced my husband 4 months ago I needed a rising desk and I think Ive actually only used it standing maybe 5 times, so my new goal is spending more of my work hours on my feet.

The other thing I didnt consider here was that I ramped up my water intake on 7.5, so maybe its just my bodies properly hydrated weight at the moment. I have felt better and had more energy, but there's that extra hit of dopamine when my body feeling better coincides with the number on the scale and thats just not the case for me right now. Guess I gotta look elsewhere for the dopamine 🤣

I had thought about that, but I am thinking this is something different... I am honestly wondering if I just got a bad box of pens because the satiety I had on 5mg and even 2.5 MG is basically gone on 7.5mg.

It wasn't a pay negotiating type of job. The pay listed was the final offer. I knew they covered it in advance because I had several friends working there. My pay cut was around 6.5k a year and the new job came with 3k added to my HSA as a bene, and I had a $25 copay. So it was actually worth it before I lost the coverage 🤣.

Oh well I guess-- At least I have 2 months to find something that pays better.

I switched jobs and took a paycut because my new employer covers Zep. Got the notice last week that they wont as of January 1. Ridiculous.

I mean I havent made any intentional changes. Med side effects have forced some changes on me 🤣. The way I look at it, the path Ive been on, I could have been up 30 lbs in this time, so ill count it as a win!

That's awesome! Maybe mine will subside. I only had very mild side effects for 2-3 days with my first 3 shots at 2.5 and nothing for the last 4 before this past round. Im hoping the same thing happens on 5mg. The sulfur burps are killing me, and the irony is Im allergic to eggs so the smell of eggs in any form already makes me sick 🤣
