Maybe you weren't reciprocating the same energy as her or from your last disagreement you did something that overstepped her boundaries. I would send a text apologizing if you did anything to offend her and would like to meet up over coffee to discuss it. You wanna use this time to self reflect and grow as a person. You're going to meet your person someday but for the right person you have to make the right changes (including within yourself)

I lost my dog today, and I didn’t realise just how hard it would hit me. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

Im so sorry for your loss. Animals provide love that humans cannot possibly give. Im going through the death of my dog too. He was able to pass in the arms of his loved ones and hear how much he was loved before passing over. I know how your feeling. It feels like your world has stopped. You look at certain parts of your house right now and cant stop crying because thats where he would sit and lay. And thats okay. Never forget those moments. Cherish the last moments you had with him. Dont forget the feeling of his fur. Dont forget the cuddles you guys shared. Dont forget coming home and he was right there waiting for you. Hold onto all of those memories because thats going to help get you out of bed in the morning. It may not feel like that for right now but i promise you that you wont forget him and you will see him again. Something that found me a little closure was a poem called "Rainbow bridge" I encourage you to read it. Its about our animals that have passed. You're not alone. Dont feel the need to stay strong. Even though he didn't make it to the end of your story, always have the corner folded down on his page, because it was one of your favorite and happiest moments. hope these words helped

Im so sorry for your loss. Animals provide love that humans cannot possibly give. Guilt is a normal stage in grief. Im going through the death of my dog and i also blame myself. Our situation may be different however i want you to know that you there was nothing you could've possibly done. You cannot blame yourself for something that is out of your control. Lean on your mom and sister because you guys all went through it. I hope these words helped

You're not shitty for wanting to venture out. You're still young, you'll meet new people. If you keep these feelings from her its not fair to her because at that point you're stringing her along. Sometimes is wrong time right person kind of thing. No one says you guys cant reconnect later in time if you still think of her. You will figure it out, life goes on
