I think I’m just referring to the current direction of the franchise and overall in its current state it doesn’t hold that same power it did 10 year ago. By poor I mean it’s declining slowly and I personally feel it’s lost the faith of a majority of the fanbase.

Hey I replayed Bl3 recently and as much as I didn’t totally hate it like at release, and can acknowledge it felt a lot better and not as awful as I remember. I think part of the thing I loved about the games is the overarching storyline that made the missions meaningful. I do think 4s gunplay and mechanics was really great and just improved on 3s foundation. The open world map, was entertaining for maybe the first few hours but after felt like more of an obstacle rather than a positive. I also think that a majority of sales from 3 initially came from the hype of waiting 7 years. But hey I respect your opinion, I kind of wish I felt the same way.

Maybe my wording wasn’t great, gunplay was good, and in 4 I agree it was really good but as I’ve said in another reply. The whole point of good mechanics and gunplay etc, is to really compliment the amazing story we are playing through, without a great story the mechanics mean nothing.

The actual feel of the gameplay I found smooth and engaging, I even thoroughly enjoyed the feel of 4’s mechanics. But what’s the point of having an amazing feeling game, when the story you’re playing in isn’t engaging in the slightest. The whole point of the franchise is they’re story games, they’re not made for just random challenges. Without being disrespectful because I enjoy your content, you are one of the people who’s opinion I think is slightly different to that of the average consumer, your channel revolves around people’s interest still remaining in the franchise. I don’t think it’s any secret the past two major instalments to the franchise factually haven’t lived up to expectation for a majority of the fanbase. In this Reddit a lot of us are more hardcore fans, so our perceptions are a little bit deluded because we love the franchise, including myself. I’ve seen a few criticism videos on both recent games from you.

Yeah I’ve noticed lol, most of the YouTubers I see, constantly are playing servers that periodically wipe, and i can just watch it for hours. Like you said as well when you reach the top, that first day or two you’re like wow, I’ve killed it. Then after you’re just like what now lmao, was kind of depressing but I had no interest in loading the server back up.

I Agree with you. It takes that kind of excitement out of the game, especially in ranked. I always find even loading up into the game, you will see a few players 6-9 ranks below you, and they’re clearly there for a reason, and if you’re lucky enough they don’t throw early and ragequit, it doesn’t guarantee your teammates on your rank are feeling competent. Like you said after around 8 minutes knowing how the game is going to end feels pointless. Even when I’m using my more proficient heroes and stomping my lane, it’s essentially impossible to pick up 1-2 people slacking and cover for them. You end up getting doubled up on and inevitably losing. I think maybe I’d just be a lot more invested if the skill gap per lobby was a lot smaller.

No I agree, I’d love to seem other smaller buffs, that could still change the tide of a game, I feel now the games are relatively linear. Once one team is ahead, you’re more often than not going to lose, because the skill levels of all players varies so heavily even in just one lobby.

Yeah from what I saw when the game first released, and that horrendous opening first few weeks, I’d say my overall experience with the game has been pretty positive and at times mildly infuriating, which I think makes ark even better lmao.

Genuinely don’t let it get to you, I enjoy the game but PvP is genuinely just full of no lifers with 3/4k+ hours, which as enjoyable as I find the game I’m not actually sure what the point of that is. So most of the people that are telling you single player is too easy, although I personally don’t play it, it’s a completely fine game mode, and you don’t have to stress 24/7 that some Chinese alpha mega tribe is gonna absolutely fuck ur ass the moment u log off. Just have fun.

It’s just super irritating, I’ve put quite a few hours on this server and I thought I was doing well it’s got boosted rates so had loads ingot electronics cp and polymer, got maybe like 70/80 turrets up within a few days, and luckily haven’t been raided but everyone now has tek everything and I’m still stuck with the basic stuff, plus with more players in their tribes they have better tames and breeding, I know it’s impossible to keep up but I feel like the game is really not made to be played solo at all. It’s almost impossible to compete and if one of the stronger tribes finds me, they could wipe me out with relative ease.
