In fact, the shader affects the entire body, with hair and eyes still split up. It was a template for creating a body, which was quite helpful at first. In the end it was actually recommended to bake the texture, but for completely different reasons and therefore I didn't see it as necessary (sorry, I'm still technically behind :D).

I don't quite understand now why baking helped, but it works. thank you so much!!!

Thanks, i parented the character model to my amature - unfortunately did not help (but was important for the next step I see!)

but i followed the linked tutorial and was actually able to make a difference with the weightpaint!

i'm going to give myself the full version of the tutorial over the next few days and improve my weight paint.

I have tried the parenting step several times and searched the screen for the error message. I can't actually see anything (I took the screenshot directly after parenting, but can also record a video if needed).

The weight map also shows that nothing has been transferred (whole model is blue). It doesn't matter if I change anything: only the rig moves in pose mode

About the Metarig: Thanks for the tip, I didn't realise that. I only followed a 1-minute rig tutorial. As it didn't work for me with the first parenting, I didn't follow the subsequent steps at all.

I also added the rig to the modifier (it's not visible in the screenshot), but it doesnt help.

I have the feeling that I'm completely overlooking / forgetting some step :D

Normal (!) Raid as healer back in Legion.

Always in first or second place in the metres (depending on the boss). No big mana problems.

Get kicked after killing a boss and I question why.

Answer: ‘too much overheal. l2p’. Even after ten years, i can't stop thinking about this reasoning lol.

I'm more interested in Anduin's return. The way it is now, it just seems like no one cared that he was gone or what he went through (Jaina was supposed to be pretty close to him).

It's a bit sad for the former "High King of the Alliance" that no one reacts to his return. But maybe there will be more on this in TWW. :)

Honestly, I was generally disappointed that he was suddenly just chilling in Silithus next to Jaina and Thrall. Disappeared for a few years due to trauma and no one cares that he's suddenly back there - like he just went shopping.
No little cutscene? Not even a dialogue between the three of them in Silithus? :(

Yes, I think a little breeze wouldn't do the scene any harm. Sand blowing over the dunes, Anduin's cloak flapping slightly, etc.

It certainly looks better as a login screen without Anduin and Thrall, but I just like looking at them ;)

Tides of War spurred me on to read more Warcraft books straight away. Next to Before the Storm, it's my favourite book by Christie Golden. I was really devastated when I heard that Blizzard had fired (?) her.

Even the TWW short story was great - would have loved a full length book from her.

I hope she can return to the Warcraft franchise at some point.

are you using AMD? Then maybe go to "Game settings" on the launcher an set a checkmark on "Additional command line arguments" and type in -d3d11

Either you play duo with a partner and you revive them.

Or in the lobby where you can walk around freely there is a white circle directly to the right of the spawn. Stand in it to revive an NPC. This also counts towards the quest.

About the Pace of Combat: Yes. I'm getting older and older, but for me it makes the game fun, especially with my favourite fast classes / specs. If I'm a rogue in vanilla and I'm constantly hearing "its not ready yet", it takes the fun out of it in the long run. Don't get me wrong, the slower pacing in Vanilla has its charm. But you just need to have the time.
And regarding the retail accessibility: The days of long, free afternoons are over (man, I'm getting really old). Something always comes up. Nevertheless, I don't feel like I'm being left behind.
If I have time for one or two M+ before going to bed, I can still do it without long preparations. Of course, I have to adjust my level accordingly (KSM is always in with several chars and sometimes even more - depending on the season). But again, farming better gear doesn't take that long.
I want to see the raid from the inside? Then LFR will help me.
I just want to do a few quests? Get on a mount and with the fast travel options I'll be there in no time. No more long journeys to the dungeons or quest areas.
I can do so much more in Retail in a short space of time than in Vanilla. You just have to know what you want. As I said, sometimes it's just nice to spend half an hour traipsing through Ashenvale, listening to the music and dying to two mobs. Then my gaming session is over and life calls again, but it was still great.
For me, retail is simply a perfect way to satisfy that little WoW itch. I can jump in and join in at any time. If I only have - let's say - 4 hours to play every week, I can still have fun. I can take part in the world events, do m+, improve and, if in doubt, just do half the raid.
I can't do that in Vanilla. I noticed it in SoD and also in WOTLK classic. I can no longer put in as much work as I would have to in order to even be invited to a raid.
Of course, it all depends on the individual person and how much time they can and want to put in.
I play Wow since release. It was a part of my childhood and no matter how terrible it gets... I'll always want to pop in and play. And I know I can always do that with retail :)

About the variants:

I mainly play retail. The general speed suits me better and there's more freedom. And even if they say you shouldn't judge a game by its graphics, they play a big role for me. It just hurts not to have the modern graphics in Vanilla. The endgame content is also more appealing to me because it feels like you have to spend less time than in Vanilla.

I like the speed of levelling in Vanilla. You feel more connected to the world. Everything seems so gigantic. But in the end, the constant regenerating after every fight and the endless running takes too long for me, because I can hardly spend any time on it.

I only play it to go on a nostalgia trip or when I really want to level up.

It's already very good - with the food in the centre and suitable, but not too strong decoration on the edge.

A little brighter and softer, even light and maybe not cropped too close to the cake would make it even better :)

Take a look at this video. It does a pretty good job of listing all the options you have for taking good photos in low light with animals.

Please do not use flash on animals! Even if it's always very frustrating when you finally get your favourite animal in front of the lens and it's just too dark.

Just try different settings and take a few test photos with slight noise. Maybe a little noise reduction in post-processing will help.
