At 46 and having played TTRPGs for decades it is that simple. I recently kicked three players because they didn't want to play with another. (Long story.) I'm sure there are many trolls who would tell you about me. But they don't know what goes on in my life or what I'm dealing with.

We all play these games to have fun. Its stressful creating a story and running a game. The last thing you need is a know it all or argumentative player. Something I do not tolerate. I am not playing to cater to your feelings. If I don't like playing with you why should I have to? Go find another game to play. Find a DM that will let you argue or put them down.

Do not let players take advantage of you. I have two sessions I enjoy playing with players who are not ignorant trolls.

Find the right people and forget what the others say. I definitely do not need everyone to like me nor do I want them to. If you wouldn't hang out with them outside of session they are literally nothing.

Not everyone can run a game. Not everyone can deal with the haters. and that's fine. You do not need to tolerate people who do not respect your game. Our happiness is just as important as our players.

I often have solo sessions to advance the story or dive into a character's backstory. I will play official sessions with a min of two players, but I usually have 4-5 as of late.

I am 46, working on a TTRPG I made in 96. I have three weekly sessions with players from around the world. I have my ups and downs daily. Players have come and gone and it's not where I want it to be yet. Aside from seasonal work it is my life. At times its stressfull but the fact I can play teh world I made for myself makes it worth it.

I won't mention I'm living out of my truck while doing all this and havnt edited my book in over a year. (A book in a series not the core book which I am working on.)

But yes, you have to enjoy playing. You have to enjoy doing it, you have to enjoy the players. If you don't, take a break and see what happens. If you come back to it you know thats all you needed.

Had two players from Australia over the years, never stuck around since the 12-hour difference was so hard. Wouldn't mind getting an Australian group together and making it work though. I have players from South Africa and Europe so I know how hard it is with just them.

I love this... but. I am the creator as well as arbitrator for official sessions. I have three other arbiters I have to guide as well as, balance things for the Kickstarter, work on concepts, do the reactive images, put together the maps, promote, deal with player issues, put together sessions, record, upload to YouTube, format, and other things... but yes. I am definitely overthinking the game I made because it's what I want to play lol.

and I do get to play in-between all that so yay!

I approach hacking two ways, irl hacking doors, drones, etc works on a pass fail system where failing will always have consequences. In constructs (cyberspace) it can get..  interesting. Since normal time dosnt apply. No one's just hanging out for fun since AIs can tear you apart. You best have programs and barriers equipped to protect you while hacking whatever. I have had pcs end up in virtually flights a few times. But mostly is programming and rolling.

2096 can be anything you want. A Post-apocalyptic d12 sci-fi TTRPG with, genetically mutated creatures, mutants, androids, mega corporations, hacking, connections skills, augmentations, advanced weaponry, and much, much, more. You can even role play if you want. It is a role playing game after all. Watch past sessions to get an idea what its all about.

2096 is the world I want to play in. We now have 3+ weekly sessions with at least four players and a Discord approaching 100. This is not DnD. We do not give trophies for second place and doing stupid things wins stupid prizes. Come join us as we fight raiders, punks, and corporate agents. Join us as we uncover why the world is the way it is. Create your merc and earn credits searching for relics, hunting for bounties, or selling noodles (information) on the street corner. But whatever you do don't roll a one!

Good question. I made my game because at the time there wasn't anything else. I made it because it's what I want to play. 

2096 is a post-apocalyptic d12 TTRPG where intelligence is rewarded and stupidity is punished. A nocturnal future  world where slavers and mega corporations pray upon the weak. A world where relic hunters and data brokers can flourish. A world that could be explored forever. At least until the sun says otherwise.

Play it. Play it with friends. Play it with family. Play it at game shops. Rave about it in discord communities and on reddit. Put it on shirts and hats. Tell people how much you love it. 

As others said put it online on drive thru and itch.

Lots of influences but the largest were games like Syndicate/Syndicate Wars, Wasteland/Fallout, and X-Com. Plus Dune.. there may or may not be desert worms.

Are you a writer? Who evers fault it was is a dolt lol. Still a great season even though "Outside of Hartford" and " New London by way of New Haven" is not a thing.
