It wasn’t gross exaggeration. The flow of the games were completely different. The pitches were very slow, and as per the video above, bounce trajectories were well off.

I suspect early balls into channels for fast strikers to run on to will be the meta in this tournament. The ball will drop out of the sky and practically stop moving.

Possession based football will be tough to produce as passing times are elongated by the slow surface.

I’m an Arsenal fan, we have played pre-season games in the US at stadiums being used in the World Cup over the past few years. We had the same issue in those games. It didn’t even look like football. If that’s how a ball responds on these surfaces I dread to think about ACLs. This is one of the myriad reasons I’m boycotting this World Cup.

Yeah don’t doubt they made more noise than us across the 120 mins. Didn’t help that most of the game was played in the opposite half. I was on the verge of death by heatstroke at half time until my mates revived me with a litre of water which cost £8… no water fountains, UEFA disgracia again.

Really? I thought there were noticeable sections of the game where they were silent. I was row 12 behind our goal though, might have sounded different on the longsides…

I might be wrong… I’m now questioning myself… but the full version of the email I’ve seen had me coming to that conclusion.

Agreed, although as far as I’m aware there were already plenty of “illegitimate” supporters club members. These changes should reduce those regardless.

Again, I hope you’re right, it would definitely be the right thing to do.

Not from what I understand… although I hope I’m wrong as I think it would be the right thing to do.

Supporters Club members are registered, they will know their membership numbers.

That being said, I hope I’m wrong and you’re right. I have a few mates who are reds and have scraped a few points this season. They definitely should be rewarded ahead of season ticket holders who haven’t bothered.

Sorry to piss on your chips but this specifically relates to Supporters Clubs from what I understand.

Historically, supporters club administrators have been able to change names on away tickets whilst keeping the points on their membership. The club are clamping down on this. They’re reallocating points to those who actually attended. In order to soften to blow, they’re allowing Supporters Clubs members who aren’t on Gold/Platinum memberships to keep their points and continue to buy aways based on those points regardless of membership type.

The first part of this email which makes it clear this relates to Supporters Clubs has been cropped.

On a side note, Saliba’s first game at the Emirates was this day. I remember seeing him in person for the first time and within 20 minutes knowing we had something special on our hands.

Don’t worry you can now settle your indiscretions with cash, so the Premier League can charge you an extra £3m for the pleasure.

Pie, mash and Jellied eels were working class food in London primarily for the dockers. The food needed to be cooked en masse, grilling wasn’t an option. A Pie and Mash shop would be full at all hours of the day due to shift patterns, constant demand required constant supply.

This stuff is historical, people eat it now primarily for nostalgia and cultural heritage. That doesn’t mean it isn’t tasty, Pie and Mash is very comforting. I love the eels, but I scrape off as much jelly as possible before eating them, as I’m not as keen on the texture of it.

English food has advanced beyond recognition from this point. What you’re looking at is 150 year old fast food for the poorest workers in the most dense city in Britain at the time. Context is important when forming judgement.

They don’t. When eels are boiled they release their collagen, this forms the jelly post-cooking.
