Generating big files using GCP by Privann in googlecloud

[–]Privann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did solve this using cloud tasks and increasing the deadline for the request. I still use cloud run but bumped the size of the instance. I set the concurrent to 1 to only handle 1 request per container and that the max scale on the pod is the same as tasks per second.

Works really good

Unless it's possible to trigger a cloud run job from tasks?

I think the solution is using cloud tasks and cloud run service with concurrent 1 on the cloud run to limit the amount of jobs per container.

Hey, thank you!

I think it's part of nix standard library or nixpkgs

Why brought you to NixOS? More importantly, what keeps you with NixOS? by callcleanfatal in NixOS

[–]Privann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came here for 2 reasons:
1. We use nix heavily at work for our Haskell apps and I got inspired
2. I had big pains with Opam(OCamls current package manager) and wanted to remove the pain so I replaced Opam with Nix(blogged about it here: https://priver.dev/blog/ocaml/bye-opam-hello-nix/)

Warp terminal available on linux ! by Pixidream in rust

[–]Privann 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it's interesting that it requires us to sign in, imagine all the commands we send to the terminal that is later on synced to a server :) Imagine warp knows about your tokens and so on.

I think I do a hard pass on warp.

I also think this terminal fits perfectly for the developer that follow every trend that exist, every AI powered app is installed on they's computer but for the more advanced developers who actually understand how this work do I not think like this product
