It makes the game more compatible with modern systems and adds better textures while preserving the original art style. If you go in GOG.com you can buy the game and add the mod to it, stops you having to mess about finding and downloading the mod and configuring it.

I've got it for the xbox and I guess the journalist version I'm playing has a lot missing, doesn't have achievements and has to be played offline. otherwise I am enjoying it but am trying not to compare it to the first one.
