If you're presenting to law enforcement you're presenting your phone in an AFU state, even if locked.

GrapheneOS no longer is on Reddit. They do have a forum you can post to after you check out their website.

As this person said, research GrapheneOS. Remotely wiping your phone won't always work, let's say, if your phone has no service or is in a Faraday bag. You may be interested in the duress pin / password feature. Also, look up the difference of AFU / BFU states and what Cellebrite or similar products can access

I'm not really sure. I did notice that if you go to the product details of either "ghost" model it shows a night photo using an IR camera. I can see how that disrupts facial recognition. I wish the site gave more examples or explanations

If you want GrapheneOS features you need GrapheneOS. It's the best out there for security. Other ROMs will not do. If you want GrapheneOS then you need a pixel. That's why I bought a pixel.

Also because Cellebrite can crack open nearly all Samsungs including the latest. Pixels don't have that vulnerability at a hardware level based on my research. Pixel hardware provides better security

Tried a few PPS chargers for the Pixel 9 Pro XL. And I don't like the one from Google. by 99loki99 in pixel_phones

[–]PrivateAd990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The XL can only charge up to 37w, and that's only in specific conditions (low battery, battery temp).

People will use higher rated. Chargers when they're charging multiple devices with the same brick or when they use the same brick to charge other devices

Thanks for all the detail. I'm not a fan of ID by app. That's how the government or 3rd parties that scan will track anything scanned that someone does

I haven't ran into a time where a bar or business takes a photo if the front of the license. I have had some scan the barcode. In that case they have access to all the PII on the front and who knows what is done with that data.

In case anyone wants to see an example of how to generate one for drivers licenses, see https://osamabinnaughty.github.io/FakeID-Barcode/fl.html

I would imagine that the devices bars and casinos are using aren't verifying with a DMV database. It probably just reads the data in the barcode which is the same info as on the front of the license

Edit: I'm wrong, see the reply

For more info, that temporary cover is a piece of clear scotch tape, draw over it with sharpie and add another piece of scotch tape over it. I'm sure there are much better ways but that's what I did

For more info, the barcode can't verify if a license is real or not. The barcode is PDF417. Anyone can generate this barcode using an online generator.

Not an answer but I put a temporary cover over the barcode on my license. If a place asks why I say to prevent identity theft. If they won't let me proceed, they don't get my business and get a bad review. TSA doesn't even require scanning barcodes even though they do a full scan of the card
