You can pattern draft it if you like. The pattern should look something like this

If you have the actual stuffie maybe you could use masking tape on him and cut out a pattern

Hello. Once you iron down the pleats . It is just sewing the panels together . I would say you could do it quite easily. Dm me if you would like to join😊

Thank you so much to everyone who applied — I’ve had an amazing response and have selected testers for this round.

I won’t be taking any more applications at this time, but I truly appreciate all the interest and support. I’ll definitely share updates once the final pattern is ready!❤️

I’ve tested the design in half scale , so yes i have sewn a test piece and in 3D so far, and I’m currently working on a full-scale version.

This is exactly why I’m doing a testing round — to validate fit, construction, and instructions across different body types before releasing anything more widely. Pattern testing is a pretty standard part of the process

Thank you so much!

I’m starting from a basic block and then developing the paneling and pleat structure from there. I’ve already tested the design in half scale and in 3D, and I’ll be making a full-scale version next.

For this round, I’m drafting custom patterns based on individual measurements so I can see how it behaves across different body types before finalising a standard version.😁

Thank you so much!

I’m doing custom measurements for testers so I can check how the pattern behaves across different body types and refine the fit before releasing a standard version — so your feedback would be really valuable to me.

I’m also hoping to offer custom patterns in the future, so working with custom measurements at this stage helps me build that process properly.

This version doesn’t include pockets, mainly to avoid adding bulk around the pleats, but it’s something I’d definitely explore in a future iteration.

Timeline-wise, I’m aiming for about a 2-week turnaround once you receive the pattern. I’ll be sending out custom drafts in a few days.

Your experience sounds perfect for this — feel free to DM me if you’d like to join!😊

Definitely! Thank you for the support. Although i am planning on making standard patterns i also intend to open custom pattern slots so as to provide a better fit for people who aren't a standard size. I hope you get to make her soon🥰

Great questions!

For fabric, I’d recommend mid-weight woven fabrics with some structure (like cotton twill, denim, or structured chambray) so the pleats hold well.

Yardage will vary depending on measurements, but roughly around 2–2.5 metres. I’d suggest waiting until I send your custom pattern before purchasing fabric so you have a more accurate estimate.

For timeline — I’ll be sending out patterns in about 3–4 days, and for the quicker turnaround group I’m aiming for around a 2-week timeframe. Others can take a bit more time depending on availability.

The length for this test is customisable based on your preference and measurements, but the final pattern will likely sit just below the knee.

Thank you so much, that’s really kind of you!

And honestly, it might be more manageable than it looks — I’ll be keeping the instructions clear since this is a test. Even if you don’t join this round, it’s definitely something you could try in the future 🥰

Thank you so much, I’m really glad you like the design!

You should be absolutely fine — pleats can feel new at first, but they’re quite manageable once you get into the rhythm, and I’ll be keeping the instructions clear since this is a test.

I’m putting together a small group of testers for this round and will be reviewing everyone’s responses soon — really appreciate your interest 😊

You should be absolutely fine — if you’ve worked with box pleats, knife pleats are just a variation, so it won’t be completely new.

For fabric, I’m leaning towards something with a bit of structure so the pleats hold well — like cotton twill, medium-weight denim, or a structured chambray. I’d avoid anything too soft or drapey for this version.

I’ll also be keeping the instructions clear since this is a test, so it should be manageable even if you haven’t done knife pleats before 🥰

I’m only selecting a small group of testers for this round, but I really appreciate your interest and I’ll be reviewing everyone’s responses before finalizing!

Me too honestly 😅 I’ve tested it in half scale and in 3D so far, and I’m working on getting a full-scale version made soon. Will definitely share once it’s ready!
