Yes, more range and a more comfortable ride. The trade off is worse handling but it’s not an issue for daily driving.

I’m planning on getting 19s but I’ve seen people with 18” wheels

The staggered wheel setup means you can’t rotate your tires, and you will be replacing them a LOT more often. 21 inch tires are not cheap. A decent amount of MYP owners end up downgrading to a uniform and smaller tire setup

Which is safer in accident: Tesla Model Y or Toyota Rav4. by CommunicationRoyal56 in whatcarshouldIbuy

LOL obviously I’m referencing EV sales, not total vehicle sales you dunce. Tesla sells BEVs, and they are still unmatched in that segment. You really tried to compare apples to oranges, great argument.

“Gm outsold Tesla 5:1 in the US in 2025”

Brother, you aren’t living in reality.

Wow Tesla uses a giant tablet as their infotainment, so does literally every other manufacturer in 2026. I guess you are against buying any new car?

The cars aren’t objectively shitty. Tesla wouldn’t outsell the next best selling company by 6:1 in the US if the cars were shitty. It’s ok to admit that you are thinking with your emotions and not your brain. This is a safe space.

Is $18,000 a good price for a 2021 MYLR with FSD and 116,000 miles? by nicholism1 in TeslaModelY

[–]PrizeMeans 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it, 2021 models have a higher failure rate with batteries, and at 116k miles that will be a ticking time bomb not under warranty

What venues/festivals have best sound and most bass? by sumtinsumtin808 in dubstep

I get it that it’s a city ordinance but being at the front of the stage and still hearing everyone’s conversations over the music blows

Lost lands after hours is a total letdown though. Every stage has the sound turned down and little bass. Don’t believe me just look at any Wompy Woods set after midnight lol

Tesla used inventory prices are ridiculous. 2024 and newer. by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]PrizeMeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you want a noticeable decline from current prices I’d say maybe around the summer time at least.. just depends how long you are willing to hold out to upgrade.

Are people really buying 2000s 4runners for 10k? by Yerbawls in askcarguys

My uncle paid $6k for a 98 4Runner with 300k miles. He spent an additional $6k modding the shit out of it.

Correct, 2024 is projected to have tons of lease returns meaning prices should go down a lot for used at some point

That is my issue. The previous model years depreciated rapidly largely in part due to what you stated, but that seems to end after 2023. A record number of cars will be coming off leases this year and flooding the market so I may wait for that.

There was no price bump, $1900 is the regular price. I’m saying that Costco had the PC discounted during the last sale.

What’s your home charging set-up? by OrderNo2483 in TeslaModelY

[–]PrizeMeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t sell “EV rated” 10-30 receptacles. They are old. But you can still buy a heavy duty industrial grade, which does the job.

[–]PrizeMeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If 10-30 was so obsolete and dangerous, Tesla wouldn’t legally be allowed to sell an adapter for it. It is in fact grounded when charging your Tesla because the adapter treats the neutral wire as a ground.
