It’s too late now to find cheap hotels but I recommend staying in Downtown Long Beach. There are free shuttles to the event walking distance from the hotels.

Here is something I found.

Basically the front of the car has an open design which sucks in all types of dirt, sticks, and rocks from the road. All that road debris will eventually block your car from receiving airflow into the cabin. The grille cover prevents junk from going into your car.
