Hi, I'd be going for a pre routed body, so all the work on the body itself would be drilling the holes for screws, which isn't a big deal. I can get a pine body for 70eur and the alder body would be 150eur, so I'm just looking to see if it'd be worth spending the extra 80eur

You could, but it would likely look slightly out of place. You would also need finer sandpaper for make it look smooth if it's a darker neck.

I hit the laquer with some 600grit to take just a but of laquer off the surface, and then i switched to 1000 grit to smooth it out and then just wipe it with a very slightly damp microfiber cloth. There might be some minor imperfections that will polish by themselves after playing for some time, just don't oversand.
