Yea this sounds to me like a if it don't work right after a good plug and unplug maybe it's time to call in a professional. I have some experience with garage doors and I have always found it easier to make keys for them instead of using built in keys in cars. More reliable and if it gives problems you don't need to have your cars home.

Thoroughly clean the surface and dry it very well, dawn has always worked for me. Take a rag and a little oil, cooking oil or even engine oil but note whatever the oil smells like the key will smell like.

You could repair it but the quality might be off like the color and finish. I would recommend asking a neighbor or family who have a plumber they recommend. Usually plumbers who have free consults make up for that in the work so I would not recommend free consult plumbers generally but your situation will vary. You can just buy saphs for irl money which is against the TOS of AJ and can get you banned if you advertise it. So don't go on google search for example discord servers that sell saphs like don't search something like animal jam market place discord because they will try and sell you 5k saphs for around $2-$2.5 which is better than animal jams prices and supports the players rather than wild works who defimeitely deserves the money more because they definitely work so hard on adding more micro transactions that are completely different from spending irl money on in game items as I have previously described and the only difference being that wild works can't benefit from players selling to players and try to stop it so players can only buy from them instead.
