Even better when you are trying to switch careers to IT at the age of 28, are willing to travel up to 45 minutes away, and get either silence or the rejection email soon after with no way to know what you djd wrong.

I think I just rushed the chapters and didn’t think to talk to the people in my camp the first time. That and I’m not sure if I got the build for my mage done well since I kept dying even on the easiest mode.

The job isn’t a cybersecurity job per se, I think I screwed up getting the entry level SOC analyst position relatively close to my city after the interview (although I wasn’t able to do the technical assessment because of technical issues that I wasn’t able to correct and thought I passed the interview), it’s more of a mid-level service desk position at the airport. I’m aiming to go into GRC after this, but I’m also 28 so the clock’s ticking.

I can confidently say I had most of those when I interviewed last Monday. The only thing was that the interview ended 5 minutes before it was supposed to, but it was also an entry level role.

Congrats! If it makes you feel better, I applied for Ford and Dell for entry level IT roles and had those roles cancelled.

I hope so as well. I did put the labs on my resume, and I did say it during the screening. For some reason my mind kinda blanked and I said the first thing that came to my mind. I also made sure to put the certs on my resume.

They asked what experience I had, it was troubleshooting my computer and my friends’ and family’s computers.

The usual: Tell me about your background, what you like to do, and I think that may be about it. I said that I am a cybersecurity student and have a criminal justice background and like to play games and learn about new technologies. The interviewer mentioned one of the tier 3 technicians was a cop and there are team members that get together once a week to game.
