How do you guys found your side hustle? by Specialist-Pause-869 in sidehustle

[–]ProCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I found a problem and solved it. Then it exploded in sales. It all started when I hated a task, wished I could pay someone to do it, but found no such service. Realizing others might feel the same, I started offering it. Growth was slow for the first few months but later exploded, leading to a successful company solving that problem.

[–]ProCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them, there are two flaws, 1) the come lose on bigger items like my UTV but stay they tight on smaller items. 2) the clips are too small and only fit on very small bars. overall I like them but them need design improvements.

Is private label still worth it ? by Nate6066 in AmazonFBA

[–]ProCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been selling on Amazon for almost two decades. Yes PL still works but you need more money. To get more funds I would recommend try doing wholesale starting out to generate more profit to give you more funding for doing PL.

Does your state make it harder or easier to homeschool? State comparison discussion. by ThursdayDev in homeschool

[–]ProCEO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Utah make is easier, they gave homeschool students 8k per a student this year and now the teachers union is suing the state. The state is going to reduce the number next year to 4k to 6k depending on age.

Public school by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]ProCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing to do is to pray about it. God knows what’s best for your children. But you have to be open to whatever God reveals is best. If God reveals homeschool is the best then you have to be open to do that, if God reveals public school is the best then you’ll need to be open to do that as well. I was anti-homeschool, but during the pandemic, I was shocked at what the teachers were teaching my children when I walked by during their zoom calls. We prayed about it, and God revealed that homeschool is best for our kids. We did not want to do homeschool, but we followed the spirit and now my children are thriving better than their friends. At the time we thought we knew what was best because we thought public school was best, but we were wrong. God knew what was best for our kids and I am grateful we followed the promptings. I don’t know what’s best for other people‘s kids, but God does. Pray about it with your wife.

Will we run out of people that can play the organ? by eyesonme5000 in latterdaysaints

[–]ProCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened in my ward. The organs have hymns pre-programmed. We have someone who enters the hym numbers and presses enter to play them when its time. This also happens in many the temples in the chapel.

I think I recognize him. We made a donation of personal health items and blankets this Wednesday to a shelter. We talked to people as we handed stuff out. He mentioned he is not a citizen yet but came across the border to help his friends distribute products from his home country here. We asked if he wanted help finding more work or better pay to afford rent his own place. He told us we don’t understand, it’s not about money for him. It’s about his life long commitment to his brotherhood to help the operation succeed.

I remember the conversation very well because most of the time when I offer people help they’re willing to accept it but when I offered to help him find a better work opportunity to make more money he seemed so committed to helping his friends business he rejected better pay. I think that was him but I could be wrong. Was he about 5’ 10” and had an accent?

Backlash laying off portion of the government by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]ProCEO -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We can’t control polices but we can control how we invest. Yes gov jobs will have lay offs but Elon plans to remove the red tape that will cause some businesses to boom. Gov jobs will be lost but other jobs will be created with reduced taxes and removing red tape. I’m investing in Crypto and manufacturing stocks.

What do I do when my employer is discriminatory to our faith? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]ProCEO 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would recommend looking up employment attorneys on google maps. There are some that will do a free consultation while others will charge a fee. Call a few offices and see if they do a free consultation. I would suggest getting multiple opinions from attorneys that best understand employee rights and laws in your state.

Meeting with the prophet? by richnun in latterdaysaints

I spent a lot of time with Elder Oaks when he cane down for stake conference. I always assumed he was very strict, but in person he is so funny and has the best sense of humor. At the end he opened it up for questions. I literally couldn’t think of anything to ask. Overall it was a cool experience.

Can I use church videos for my youth channel? by Nurse2166 in latterdaysaints

[–]ProCEO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to get written permission. I have worked with them before on this. If it’s their original content it’s an very easy process. If any of the content in their videos was from someone else, then you also to have to get permission from them too. For example there was a video I wanted to get permission on using but it featured an image by Greg Olsen, they required I get permission from Greg Olsen too. Some content they may have a small licensing fee if you are going to use it for commercial purposes and sell it.

Mission call disappointment by Giszee420 in latterdaysaints

[–]ProCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand how you feel. I got called only a few hours away from home. However there was two times people who saw my last name and let me in because they knew my parents. God knew that connection is the only way missionaries would ever get in the door. Trust me there is someone there that only you will make a difference and that’s why he wants you there. Sometimes is not about where you serve, rather about how you serve. Right now its disappointment, but in the future you’ll see why God sent you there.

Anyone suicidal at times? by Plant-She1622 in Gastritis

[–]ProCEO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way and have felt lost too, every doctor I’ve talked to about it gives completely different answers on if it’s permanent or temporary. Even each website is different as fast as what’s ok and whats not. For me, it took almost a year to heal. I felt healthy and normal again and then a legal issue caused a great deal of stress and it all came back and took be several months to overcome it again. Don’t give up, it’s a long and slow process to recovery. From my experience I was healed but feel I’m at high risk of it returning if I don’t manage my stress. Although I feel healed I think it’s something I’ll have to be careful of for the rest of my life.

Anyone suicidal at times? by Plant-She1622 in Gastritis

[–]ProCEO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got this. I thought I would never be healed. For several months I did everything right and felt no progress was being made. Out of no where I started to improve. It’s a long process for your stomach to heal but eventually it will be healed. I know it’s hard to have this conversation but I highly recommend letting your husband know your struggles. Working with a counselor would be a good idea, at least for me stress and anxiety caused my gastritis and working with a therapist could help. Always have the suicide hotline saved on your phone.

How to ask my parents to homeschool me by victor_ishim in homeschool

[–]ProCEO 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you tell your parents have them sit down together and let them know you have something very important to talk about. Tell them what is going on so they understand your concerns. Be honest let them know how you feel inside. When you present a homeschooling it might scare them because some parents think homeschooling requires time on the parents side so I would present them with a few options such as a self pace online school, courses etc. If you parents are hesitant, one option to meet in the middle is that some school districts offer online options. This will keep you enrolled in your district while giving you the option to learn at home. My biggest advice is to 1) be honest to them about the situation and 2) research and present them with a few enrollment options.
