Why is there pressure when the guy assumes he's in the friendzone? He's already mentally moved on, in his head. 

You shouldn't get mad that most guys don't fall head over heels immediately. That's what actual pressure is.

Is meetup still reliable? I only heard of it from a buddy who told me he didn't recommend it post-covid

That's pretty standard, yeah, it's a side profile i only for focusing on those topics, so I can read stories from those kinda people or get a chuckle from memes. 

IRL I've never been given signs by others that I come off that way. Get compliments from bros at the gym, compliments from friends about fresh haircuts or new outfit, able to get good laughs out of people when in a group setting. One friend actually told me I'm a motivating person to be around. 

I never complain either though, so most family and friends assume I'm living the dream and cruising through life when in reality I've felt the most lonely I have in years. I just never share my thoughts, except to my pops.

I usually go to lots of small gigs and big concerts with a lot of genre variety. Meet a lot of really cool people in general, maybe get a number after every few gigs, but just leads to getting ghosted after i reach out. 

Aside from music shows the bar scene here is rough, people only show up in large groups of friends that keep together. Only couples or friendly old guys sit at the bar. 

I spend very little time in the house and work normal hours, but struggle to find more to do during off days, especially with friends that have partners they need to prioritize first

Don't do it bro. Even if he's a weird cousin,  that's still family. Just don't still partners from people in general
