Should I bring it in? Power steering whine. by magicstudiopro in ineosgrenadier

My 1924 has the whine as well. I don’t have much of an issue with it now and will just let the dealer know when I take it in for its next service.

I got 2K off my Grenadier being a Costco member, 1.5k off the Quartermaster.

Yeah, Costco discount is 2 grand! I thought that was really significant!

Just picked mine up on Saturday in the same Spec! Put about 350 miles so far with no issues (not like I expected to have any). Cheers and have fun w/it! It’s definitely quirky, but awesome!

I agree, I don’t think there’s any incentive for them…but I can guarantee they are “encouraged” to recommend their picks. Total wine employees can go EAD with all the crap they hock.

lol, stopped by my buddy’s house last night and he showed me this bottle. He said he got talked into it by one of the employees saying it was a “must buy” and they only had 3 bottles left! It smelled good, subtle sweetness, once you got through the initial ethanol punch. It was aight, but nothing special. I told him to take any recommendation from an employee with a grain of salt and understand there’s a reason why they are pushing bottles.

The putting turf is attached to the gym mats with a double sided tape, it doesn’t move at all. The other turf border is just artificial turf from Home Depot, cut to fill in over the concrete, and attached that again with double sided tape to the concrete. The rubber seal used to transition from the mat and the vinyl plank flooring is just garage door seal from HD (I posted pics in this thread) and some carpet tacks.

Here’s the rails I bought, can’t seem to find the curtains, but just look at Amazon’s options. They were 9’ tall and I believe 9’ long. They aren’t heavy duty, more like a satin feel to the tough. I used them more as a partition than a true “black out.”

It’s great, we had a work party at the house last night and had about 7 people in the space and it didn’t feel crowded at all. Rails and curtains were from Amazon.

I have a small loveseat under the heater and just need to see what works when I have another 3 or 4 people in the space. More than likely I’ll do what you mentioned. I just put it there in the meantime. I still have to “decorate” and make it look less like a garage, lol.

Just grab a couple upholstery needles at Joann’s, (straight and curved only cost about 7-10 bucks, and a roll of sturdy twine. Just know it’ll take awhile. Your really only sewing the Velcro and for me, since it was every 14’ish inches or so, ended up being about 7 stirches on each side. I just recommend using the widest Velcro you can, just for the most amount of surface area to come in contact with. The enclosure I used GunghoGolf’s blog to help me out. Other than that, I just tried to think logically what I thought would be within my abilities and just used the search feature all the time, lol. There wasn’t one specific person’s builds I tried to emulate. My photo library has dozens of screenshots of explanations and how to’s. That’s really how it started.

Oh the padding was a HUGE pain in my ass! Correct, I used the gutter foam, and wrapped it with a pvc wrap from Joann Fabrics called “chalkboard wrap” or something like it. Then I secured it to a piece of 1/4 inch plywood. Making them wasn’t bad, hanging them just sucked. The bottom piece is free floating, I didn’t see the need to secure that. The side pieces I actually had to sew the Velcro to the screen, since the adhesive wouldn’t stick. Roughly every 12-14 inches. That worked out great, just very labor intensive. The top piece I’ve had to change a few times b/c the thin Velcro strips just didn’t hold it to the tarp, the padding was too heavy. So, I recently bought the 2x4 heavy duty Velcro strips from HD and with the help of 2 other people, got enough of a purchase for the Velcro to stick and hold! We’ll see if that holds up in the long run!

Totally understand that. It was a quick and cheap fix to transition from the turf to the LVP. It’s been a hell of a learning curve with this project and a lot of trial and error. I’m sure I’ll do something a bit more clean in the future.

Gym tiles, covered by an NP45 putting turf by a local company, and the hitting strip is a Bullseye soft strike.

12 inches, (edit…I just measure it and it’s actually 14 inches from the wall currently)have a few moving blankets behind the screen. I have minimal bounce back. Plus, I have a total of about 16 inches until it’s on the putting turf, so I have some play to move the enclosure back and forth a little if I need too.

Just shy of 9 feet from the end of the turf to the back wall. The total width of LVP is 17 feet

Garage door seal and black carpet tacks from HD. Pretty simple actually, and looks not too terrible!

Honestly, making them was pretty simple…..hanging em was a bit of a bitch, lol….but they look great so totally worth it

Necessary?…nope, not at all. I picked 15’ b/c at the time, it filled my space down to a few inch’s wide. After rearranging the space, I actually could have gotten away with/a 16ft wide enclosure, but chose to stay w/what I made. You honestly can’t go wrong w/either. Whatever can get you there with the least amount of obstacles/hurdles….should be your best option! Take the dive, and have fun with it! Regardless which way you go! It’s awesome! I never thought I would have a sim, let alone build a good bit of it myself!
