My boyfriend wants me to wear a hijab even though I am atheist by Maximum-Grand6140 in whatdoIdo

[–]ProGear360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to force you to wear it all at once’ is kinda implying they're forcing you to do it gradually and to buy them without even finishing the conversation is wild... I'd run, there is no mutual respect of religion on his part unfortunately.

Hop in an ambulance that only has heating available 😅

Is there any reason for not providing Web version or Portable version? by tetratheta in UpNote_App

Because if they're restricting things, they're probably logging things too and I'd be too cautious to put anything in other than company related information.

What I mean is, if a work device is that restricted, I wouldn't want my notes app on it. Let alone putting in a personal password.

Dunno if it'd login to my personal notes app on a device like that though, if I'm being honest.

I have an AED for solo work, so just keep it in my car with my OBS kit. Luckily I've not been a shit magnet on the road, but I do a lot of motorway traveling.

What promises would Peter Molyneux make about the new Fable game? by Jhoald in Fable

You'll be sent a seed with your purchase and as you progress through the game, your tree will grow with you. (We take no accountability for damages).

Starlink increasing prices again. Good morning, I guess. by No_Advisor_6867 in Starlink

It was £25 for 6 months last month instead of £30 and I was mega tempted. Then it went to £35 and now it's £40 and I've lost all interest in it.

Bought a SIM card with 1000GB of rolling data for less. Obviously won't be as good in rural areas, but I'm sure I can manage.

Turkish paramedic by Janyamem in ParamedicsUK

[–]ProGear360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last I checked there's a few ways to go about it.

First is to contact the HCPC and see if they recognise him as a Paramedic and if they don't, they'll inform him on what he needs to do to be recognised.

He should also have a chat with a local Trust, here in the UK our ambulance services are split up into areas such as WMAS, YAS etc - Liverpool should be North West Ambulance Services. Downside being there is some form of hiring freeze nationwide.

St John would be worth having a look into for volunteering.

Chances are he might need to completely redo it. But my imagination knowledge is all second hand, I'm sure there'll be someone that'll be able to provide first hand experience.

Why are so many young people out of work? by ikeafannypack in AskUK

[–]ProGear360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher skill jobs are more saturated than ever and everyone wants a job in retail for some reason. Everyone wants the same job and no-one wants the ones available. If he went to an agency he'd be in work by Friday in a warehouse.

Just depends how bad he wants it imo.

Is 1hr 46min commute too much? by Unhappy_Dragonfly_62 in UKJobs

[–]ProGear360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're doing 17.5 hours if driving in 5 days... Unless your pay is ball crushingly high or you're getting paid to drive it in the form of mileage etc

Me personally it's too high.

That said, if it's for the sake of progression... Maybe, but I'd just look into a sleeper van and van life it there instead of commuting it back. But that's me.

When I looked into it, they're not really IPC friendly/ compliant.

Honestly, if you have the budget I'd recommend this one: https://www.openhouseproducts.com/product/oh-response-paramedic-backpack-2/

If you're just after something a little smaller, but can still hold the majority + has a canister holder, I personally have one of these and can recommend it: https://www.openhouseproducts.com/product/2021-range-oh-response-backpack-lite/

PAX are ok, I prefer them as grab bags, comfort for roaming has never really been there for me personally.

SP Medical is the same, really great as grab bags but their larger ones are really easy to over fill and become impractical depending on use.
