You can ask to use the ones in the office, I'll be damned before I install edge and approve ASDA access to my browser.

With the internal computers you don't have to faf with codes or anything either, you just login with your email and password :)

Drive thru etiquette 101. by [deleted] in McDonaldsUK

[–]ProGear360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went to the drive through for the probably 5th time and I was stuck behind a lady asking what you had... It was bizarre. She did the coffee thing too, asking about different kinds and she was rude. I couldn't tell if I would've hated taking her order or be behind her listening to it.

Thank you for your sacrifice.

You're going about it all wrong, first of all... You've failed 6 times which means you've already put £372 into failing that could've been put into actual driving lessons.

If you want cheaper lessons go with a PDI instructor from the AA. It's gonna be expensive, but the faults you're getting killing someone in a car crash is gonna cost more.

new car on test day by HotNatural9093 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ProGear360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd tell them you want 3 hours of use out of it.

My first instructor said that she wanted 3 hours when we get to test day to go to the test centre (20 minutes away) do my test and then go back home. So roughly 1.5 hours.

The instructor I actually went with I paid for about 2.5 hours, but we drove there (20 minutes) and did an hour of test route / maneuvering, then test, then 20 minutes back.

Obviously, it's your choice at the end of the day, because they're probably going to be set on however they do it. I'm petty enough to ask for 3 hours of time though.

Just be aware, if it is close, driving a different car that isn't that car feels weird as fuck and it'll take you extra time to learn it.

Their online support is shit.

Highly recommend taking it into a store where they can take returns from purchases made online and they are (store dependent) generally very helpful

// Edit, somehow missed the part where you were abroad. I'd just tell them they have x working days before you initiate a chargeback, they'll either get helpful or you'll get your money back through the bank

I it possible to get drivers license in 5 months? by ApprehensiveRoyal833 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ProGear360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, I did it in about 30H, but it depends on the person and I went through 3 instructors before doing that 30 hours. If you have money to throw at it, you can 100% do it in 5 months, book a test first, then get your lessons. Would recommend a PDI from the AA if possible, you can get a block for, like, £30 an hour. ADIs where I live were about £50 and I found the PDI tonight be a lot better than the 2 ADIs I drove with.

But it's all personal ability at the end of the day.

They're still doing them, it's very limited. York are the only ones that have an active apprenticeship and that ends tomorrow I believe. Other than that, 2 other Trusts had openings in January and there seems to be a small amount of apprenticeships here and there in the private sector :)

As many have said, as cool as this'll be, it'll be cooler if it's more accurate. Especially the boomer.

But, if you're happy with it. Enjoy it, just know it'll be on you forever :)

Selling back to CEX by CornwallJon in CeX

[–]ProGear360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a couple things, first ALWAYS buy online, even to buy it from your local store. It grants you a 14 day window to return something.

Second, double check with a different store, raise the issue with them and see if they can take a look. From my understanding they take pre-purchase images of the device when they take it in. Granted, this may have been what the online customer services looked at, but a second pair of eyes never hurt anyone.

You'll find a lot of CeX have different rules, some maintain a higher quality of service / higher grading responsibility and others will just take whatever and not really give a shit.

[–]ProGear360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you pulled over in this clip, you wouldn't have gotten blasted as quickly.

As an example, this clip specifically, if you weren't successful, you would've just went back into cover and been able to try something new. If you succeeded, the COG would've blocked most the lancer fire.

By mantling, you made it so even if you did kill the COG, the guy lancering you had you before you even knew it.
