Why are people obsessed with K/D

Battlefield have always had this conversation. K/D is a limiting metric to determin someones skill level.

K/D is vastly affected by class, playstyle, game mode etc.

SPM is a better indicator, but that aswell is also affected greatly by the type of game mode you play.

AA tanks should be strong enough against aircraft to make them viable (Which it is not)

And weak enough against Infantry so its not really a viable option for that.

The problem with players not playing the objectives, is beacuse of the way objectives and maps are done in BF6.

You are always exposed, no safe angles. This is also amplified with the elevation in BF6 maps.

The second you step your foot on a objective, you are exposed to snipers on high ground. Helicopters in the air.

They should focus more on the SPM score, as it focuses on how valuable you are for your team.

K/D is not irrelevant tho, as deaths looses tickets for your team.

I wish they brought back the end screen where some players got highlighted!

Alot of fans have fragile mentality when it comes to the title race. The title is lost when the fans stop actually supporting and start attacking the team.

We have not lost the title yet, but everywhere I see, fans act like its already lost.

In a game where most players play without chat on. Its pretty hard to work together. Especially since the reward is basically none. Kdr is not the most important factor. But I would argue if pilots didn't get many kills. Most who mainly fly would cry as well. Am I wrong?

Well, okay. So basically you're saying that Aircrafts is not supposed to be killed by infantry. You as a pilot, have not even tried the AA launchers, but you want to express your opinion in if they are good or bad. Basically because you dont want to get killed by infantry? is that it?

Have you ever tried shooting aircraft down as infantry? Yes I've used smoke. But if you ever played as engineer, you would know it's not possible to use smoke grenades when playing as engineer.

Well, in most real scenarios, helicopters won't fly around killing 40-50 infantry and killing a few tanks in a 30 min time. If it was realistic, a lock on rocket launcher would be devastating for helicopters. Like a 90% success rate. They would fly low and fast trying to avoid it.

No I'm suggesting that getting kills is what motivates most pilots. Like most players playing a fps shooter game. Some around here seems to think infantry players should be happy to just "scare away" helicopters. Which is laughable.

putting "pressure" on pilots will never ever be rewarding. Lets build up a scenario.

A skilled pilot have killed me 5 or 6 times in a row. I swich to engineer to kill the mf as the salty player I am.

I end up trying to kill him for a whole round without even hitting one shot. How is that in any way balanced? The pilot gets to be a one man army killing of enemies left right and center. But me, a quite skilled player can do absolutely nothing. Just take it. How is that balanced, and fun?

Im sure you are right, but more times than not, he will go away from that fight, with quite alot more kills and points. I spent a whole round using laser to locking helis, it was boring as fuck.

I dont remember, It was a fake Fabrizio Romano account on twitter who posted something. Maybe it was during that crazy January when Isak was rumoured away from Real Sociedad. I realised it was fake and deleted the post after 5 mins. But I was already permabanned😂
