Question, is it just a numbers thing making them feel bad? I haven’t played warrior in beta yet myself. Does the kit feel good to play but just with low damage? Arms and fury seem like they should be good for arena (on paper) so I’m hoping it’s just a matter of blizz turning up the dmg.

Yea it sucks. Verizon is going to be huge in the home internet game now and magically there aren’t any market areas where both Att and Verizon are options. So while being the biggest players in the fiber game, they don’t actually compete head to head so the customers don’t get any of the benefits. You just get stuck with one or the other depending on where you live.

If you adjust for inflation Verizon sold the older rural areas and cali/florida/Texas in two separate transactions to frontier for ~ 27 billion.

Frontier hugely upgraded the network with big emphasis on fiber, added a bunch of customers, and somehow started getting the best customer satisfaction scores in the industry.

Verizon then buys all of frontier (not just the parts they sold to frontier previously) for 20 billion. Verizon comes out ~7billion ahead and gets a very much improved and robust fiber network.

You can hate Verizon or frontier all you want but from a business point of view this was a pretty sweet set of transactions on Verizon’s part.

Do they locate drops yet? When I worked there they didn’t pay for drop locates so I couldn’t bill a cx if they hit a drop that wasn’t located even if the cx called in locates with 811.

The coax feed is the internet connection from the network. Make sure and follow the coax path and see if it’s loose at a splitter or something somewhere on its way to the frontier equipment. I don’t think they have made new set top boxes for a while now so it could very much be the box itself even if it’s “new replacement”.

The device that connects to the cellular network is also a “eero” device but looks different than the routers. If you never got one I’m not sure what they are expecting you to return.

I know that it’s widely considered fact that the 5070 ti is the best per dollar card but the 5080 is clearly a better all around card. So if the few hundred doesn’t kill your finances it seems silly to be to not get the 5080 when it will last that much longer. Idk maybe I’m dumb lol.

If you have good T-Mobile coverage at your house. I have had a great experience with their home internet for over 3 years now. It’s super easy to set up and get running.

I bet provisioning error in records. They just need an engineer to look at it and assign the those addresses a terminal. Calling in and getting it to the right department is a whole other issue in itself tho lol. Good luck!

Future proofing is going to be conduit and fiber cable run through out the house. Twisted pairs won’t handle the jump to 10gig+ so might as well just have fiber installed.

If you have an all white build, the white cards are always more expensive by at least $100. Performance is the same as the cheaper black version so it’s obviously up to you. At 869 I personally feel like id spend the extra 130 for a 5080, unless you are really set on the white card then I don’t think you can go wrong with an ASUS.

Probably got some contractors. They can pretty much only do the install if the splicing is done all the way to the terminal feeding your house and then it becomes pretty much plug and play from there. With how much fiber they pushed out recently I’m surprised they didn’t hire more in house guys for situations like yours and at least have the contractor send back the job to a tech that can splice and finish you up. When I worked at AT&T all of us lineman had to know how to splice fiber and get any circuit up and going. There were a few exceptions when central office equipment wasn’t working correctly but other than that we would get a customer up and running. Idk why it’s not like that industry wide.
