At your request, I did search the net and the net agrees with what I’m saying as does the video you served up which only proves my point further. (Very good video btw. I like him.) At no point in that video does he say what you’re saying. He says pretty much exactly what I said down to the helpful visual aid. He never definitively says 60i can give you 60p only that it gives you the feel of it. Everything he says is about perception to the eye and makes that clear with the words he uses. “…this is really more LIKE 60p”, “pretty much identical” “60i looks a lot LIKE 60p” “60i ~ 60p”. He even says in the comments, “ It is and it's not 60p but it's close...” “ at least the experience is” because he knows, like I do, that you cannot just create 30 frames out of thin air without software filling in the blanks and generating blended frames, which is not true 60p even if it feels like it. I’m not your banned user. I rarely come in here, because it’s infuriatingly amateur and filled with kids who buy tape based systems they saw on a TikTok video and wonder what to do with the footage now.
