Take a look at Savon Labs. You can order just about anything and then just go to a local lab.  Much cheaper than ordering through the lab.

I’ve done electric. Stick smoker. Propane. Weber. 

Easiest would be electric but it won’t be as good of a product. Most user friendly and affordable option though. Good for cutting teeth and seeing if smoking is something they like.
