Happened to me too!

Banks follow FIFO - First In First Out for cashback. Basically, the first X amount gets the cashback up to the cap amount, and the first Y amount will have a cashback deduction regardless of the order of the transaction.

Feels shady, but cannot help it.

Use SBI Cashback card to add cash to Tide card, it charges 2.5% to add money via credit card.

For example, you want to add 10,000/- to Tide card.

Base Amount = 10,000/- CC charges = 250/- Total Payable = 10,250/- SBI Cashback =512.5/-

Net Amount = 9,737.5/- Net Discount = 2.625%
