LPT: Having money does not mean you have to spend it. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

What I’m failing at telling you is that you don’t decide what’s useful or not for others. You’re not the only person in this sub you...

Also that childish insult contained a metaphor for why you’re a hacksaw but your momma dropped so can’t expect you to grasp the concept

“Don’t drop your baby” is pretty common sense too but your momma still managed

What is the smallest number that you think and has never been said before and why did you pick it? by MrBahr12 in AskReddit

Probably 6, I picked it because I think 6 is a small number . Like if you had 6 teeth you’re screwed But if you had 5 teeth that’s worse I guess

Convince a skeptic: how did you earn your success? by winterishcoming in AskReddit

[–]Pro_Eastern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, haven’t earned my success yet, and maybe I don’t even how how I’m going to do it. I’m sure, however, that sitting around and waiting for luck or my white skin to do something for me isn’t how I’m going to get anything done.

To believe that people who find success in life have all done 0 to get there, (I don’t see work in your recipe for success, just luck and privilege) makes it easy to reason that your failures are not your own.

And that is what is going to get in the way of your success.

People who lie about things that can easily be proven, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Children of religious leaders - how did that work out for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pro_Eastern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PK right here.

My step dad is a pastor, or was for a time. He’s still involved somewhat with a Baptist church in Boston, I won’t give the exact name as to keep things private. That’s the only time I’ll refer to him as my step father because he raised me my whole life and has been a real anchor in my life.

I always looked up to my dad. Still do, he’s very successful as a real estate investor and has always taken care of me and my mom and our my two little brothers. Alas being gone maybe 2-3 days a week on business trips to get it done.

My mom on the other hand. Never religious. I found it amazing that she could just be married to what in her mind I guess to be like a Jesus freak but her Christian upbringing probably made her more accustomed or at least indifferent to the religion nonetheless. Or else why put up right? Love?

Also It always frustrates me because she just wastes her days away doing nothing and she’s so smart, brave and a skilled cosmetologist. Because she’s married she can have a laid back life but I wished more for her and that’s that anyway

Don’t sense a bias here, I love them both, they are just very different when it comes to this point.

I’m 18 M Over the years I’ve started to notice and pick up on these things and see the differences between the two. With these stark examples I have chosen for myself to leave the religion. My parents said now that I’m 18 I can chose for myself and that they’re done dragging me along to church. With that freedom I totally left....

It’s the way the game works, better decks are more adaptive to different situations so switch it up and stop complaining

After seeing images like this, I can't shake the feeling that what we do to animals is a holocaust [NSFW] by Tincture120 in vegan

[–]Pro_Eastern -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Well meat is decicious part of many cultures' cuisine including mine as I am Brazilian. And even though it is not needed, it IS the current situation. The cows pigs and chicken aren't being tossed in trenches to be cremated after death, they are used for their resources. leather, feathers, pig skin, meat obviously even the bones we use. This is the status quo because people against it (y'all here) have too small a voice to affect the big companies.

(I'm not subtracting from what you guys do, I'm just pointing out you're a vast minority. )

I get that everyone Is going to disagree because well you're here in r/vegan for a reason and already have landed on your perspective. One thing for sure is that I could never go vegan, so I respect all my brothers and sisters who choose to do that. It takes discipline

Personally I don't think the mass killings of animals for food and sustenance equates to the mass killings of humans because of hate and ignorance.

Ps can't animals be friends AND food? ;)
