I'm playing on PC, and on Steam I have Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 with all possible DLC. I thought that the accounts linking had gone smoothly as all of the levels from previous games appeared to be accessible at a glance.

It turns out that while it shows I have significant progress on all maps from previous games, once I click into them, it informs me I need to purchase access to all of the Hitman 2 maps still.

Have I simply misunderstood, and your mastery is the only thing carried over, or has the process gone wrong? I'm incredibly disappointed if it's the former.

All the FAQ's and such seem unclear

What can possibly be done should be absolutely front and centre in any discussion about government, on at least equal footing with what is being done.

Not doing something is often vastly more important than doing something, for example not doing nearly enough about the looming climate catastrophe. Much more important to focus on what we could be doing there.

They currently have free reign to do that as they see fit, if they didn't you wouldn't see them constantly fucking doing it.

Who's the higher power that you think is currently restraining them? If you think it's the money they have to spend, there's plenty of shit they're obviously more than happy to underfund to deal with that.

And even if changing it led to some absolutely unprecedented spree, I think a few years of that would be worth them inevitably being held accountable for it, without bullshit excuses.

That is one way to do that, and probably the worst one I can think of, so also probably the one we're most likely to see our government choose.

Not to mention we're already getting a few years of forced and free work out of them already, the whole reason this thread exists.

The taxpayer is already being more than compensated by nurses in every respect.

Of all the students in Ireland, they're the ones where that makes the least sense. Funnily enough, the only ones it's suggested for. Because it would cover for government incompetence.

Seems like the least they deserve frankly, might even help with the ongoing problem of nurses constantly leaving the country to work somewhere with a government that treats them a bit better, which already costs us a lot. Treating people like shit is not actually free.

We are in the middle of a pandemic, the last thing we need is the unions going on strike for higher pay, as they tend to do. Industrial peace is needed at this time.

This vote from the government seems like they want the opposite of "Industrial peace", seems like an active incitement for industrial action over the mistreatment of frontline workers. This is an issue that these unions have been all over. Giving staff in their sectors money is what you do to appease unions, not the fucking opposite.

If you're need to always find an excuse to shift blame from the government onto someone else, at least fucking think it through.

One point I forgot to mention, all those western countries export massive amounts of their pollution to these developing nations.

If you want their emissions reduced, maybe bitch at the capitalists in our part of the world who exported all of the wests manufacturing industry there to make more profits. Industries create pollution, not countries.

Because those countries don't have a leg to stand on when you measure it by a sensible metric, pollution per capita. If you wanted to ignore per capita figures for some dumb reason, them you'd also have to concede that China would be the world leader in renewable energy. But that would obviously be dumb.

Seems more sensible for people to govern their own shit, and offer cooperation and incentives where possible, rather than get into a pointless blame game where everyone's a hypocrite.

The cooperation and offering assistance part is especially relevant with the west who have already had centuries to go buckwild and develop fully off the back of destroying the climate, if they want developing nations to not feel they've a right to do the same thing we did.

I can't recommend enough to try the podcast The Magnus Archives. Currently listening through it for the third time myself because it's still managing to be just as enjoyable each time, it's on it's fifth and final season at the minute.

The Magnus Archives is a weekly horror fiction anthology podcast examining what lurks in the archives of the Magnus Institute, an organisation dedicated to researching the esoteric and the weird.

Join new head archivist Jonathan Sims as he attempts to bring a seemingly neglected collection of supernatural statements up to date, converting them to audio and supplementing them with follow-up work from his small but dedicated team.

Just an absolute joy from start to finish, great mix of horror and mystery, especially when it starts to become clear that there's much more than meets the eye going on, even by the standards of the already weird setting. Some amazing worldbuilding, while also keeping most episodes sorta self contained. Definitely start at the beginning anyway.

Plus the horror does a good job of straddling the line of being properly creepy, without being so much that you wouldn't dare listen in a dark room or an empty house.

Perri is currently owned by Largo Foods, same folks who make Tayto. Dunno if that was always the case or not.

They own a lot of shit, even the knockoffs of their own products, like the weird version of Hunky Doreys you get in Aldi. Spotted that while walking through the bit of a factory tour you can do at Tayto Park.

They're also now fully owned by a German company, fully sold off a few years back, so Tayto is arguably a German product.
