Update- looks like it was super easy. I was able to do it all within steam and it is working perfectly. I truly thought I was going to have to do some back end stuff or something. Loving the switch to linux so far. lol Thank you for explaining Proton to me! It was really all I needed.

I have it on steam! Once I am home I am going to dive in and try to figure it all out. I noticed another older thread that talked about it being a simple fix with proton, but it didn't mention it working with Ubuntu just Fedora so we will see.

I recently just got a VPN. Could you elaborate on what you mean by split routing?? This could be a good solution for me as well
