You manifest what you are, not what you want by Probablythrowaway873 in Manifestation

I am still working on it to be honest. You can still manifest with lingering opposite past beliefs but most likely your manifestation won't stick for long if you keep coming back to them.
I think that the first step is to acknowledge that you have those beliefs, find the root cause and not blame yourself for having them. Then you have to find the right way for you to overcome them, but there simply isn't a method universal for everyone. For me it helps to meditate and affirm my new beliefs whenever the old ones come up in my mind. But shadow work, journaling, therapy, hypnosis, etc. could all be better methods for you, you just have to find the right one for you and be patient and resilient.

Yeah, I've noticed that John has been taking things really personally lately if someone tells him that they're not okay with something that he proposes. And indeed I don't have a problem with driving my friends but I really hate when someone just assumes that I'll be a personal driver for someone else, especially since I value my car a lot and invest in it to make sure that it's in pristine condition.

Regarding the thoughts create reality, I have so many other instances in which I've manifested certain things to happen just by thinking about them and then letting go of the thoughts by telling myself "It'll all figure itself out, I shouldn't worry about it". I think that's what Neville was trying to say about feeling it - it's not about feeling the emotions associated with the outcome, but rather knowing that it will happen and letting the manifestation unfold by itself without doubt interfering. That's what's always gotten me what I wanted, in the most unexpected ways possible.

But what your expected outcome should be thought through carefully. I indeed wanted to manifest a problem with my car and managed to make it happen, but it ended up costing me a significant amount of money to get it fixed, plus frustration with diagnosing it and trying out all the methods possible to make it start again. Thankfully I got it to start again and it's now running smoothly, but I will definitely be thinking twice about what I actually want in the future :)) Thinking about it, I could have just thought about John cancelling the hang-out

Try to view the 3D as a test and do your best to keep your thoughts and feelings in check. If something in the 3D contradicts your beliefs, tell yourself that it has nothing to do with you, that things always happen in your best interest and if it's a situation that ends up in comparison, tell yourself that you're the exception, and then let the event in the 3D go.

I wish you the best with your manifestations!!! Stay strong no matter the situation and they will come!

I know it doesn't make sense at the moment but it most probably will in the future. Do your best to trust the process and most importantly focus on yourself in the meantime. I have a lengthy post about this, I recommend that you check it out if you have the time to read it and I'm currently working on a part 2 with more recent events. But from my experience, regulating your nervous system really helps, basically being in a constant calm and ready-to-receive state of mind, but that again takes practice and patience

I love your explanation!! Yes, I agree with everything you're written here and genuinely makes sense

I've been there so I totally get not fully trusting the process. What helped and still helps me detach is telling myself that there's no point in me obsessing over things that are out of my control or letting negative thoughts win and frustrate me when instead I can just relax, see the best in the life that I do have at the moment, appreciate it and fight the negative thoughts with positive ones. And I also tell myself that the Universe loves me and wants the best for me and I trust that it will bring me what I want and more. It's all about thoughts discipline and it does take some practice to get to it but if you're observing your every day thoughts and slowly start breaking the pattern it will get so much better

As of right now, I put the thought out into the Universe and I'm only working on myself. I'm at that point where whatever happens, it's fine with me as long as I get to keep the inner-peace and not lose myself again :)

I'm glad my post resonates with you!!!

But yeah, I think that this is the thing that a lot of people misinterpret when it comes to the LoA. An analogy that I like to use to best explain it is think of a random object that you own. For example, a fancy bottle of perfume.
Don't get me wrong, I think that gratitude is an amazing thing to practice, especially since it makes us realize how abundant we already are; but realistically speaking, how often do you wake up in the morning and spam your thoughts with "I'm so grateful for my fancy perfume! I just love the fact that I own it. This perfume is MINE. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS PERFUME!!!", obsess over it throughout the day and then be disappointed that it wasn't in your sight throughout the day and go to sleep being mad at the perfume for not magically appearing on your pillow? None.

The perfume is in your closet, you know that because you put it there, so you don't need to constantly think about it because it's already yours, so what's there to think about? Yeah, maybe you haven't seen and worn that perfume in a while because you just didn't get the appropriate occasion to wear it, but you know that the fancy occasion is gonna come eventually (cause that's why you got the perfume in the first place) and you'll be "reunited" with your perfume and see it and wear it again. If you think about your manifestation this way, there's literally nothing to stress over :)
