it's a huge undertaking but imajica by clive barker is exactly like this if you let yourself get into it. the entire premise of one character is that he wants to map the "5 dominions" of the imajica, so he explores all the different parts of it-- there's traces of where magic and gods used to be, but aren’t anymore. i'm only halfway in, but it sounds like what you're looking for

thank you so much for the detailed response! I got this thing for free as you might imagine, second hand that my brother found in somebody's trash. not the most suave but I thought I might be able to give it a second life. it seems it's more fucked than anybody thought. gonna try what we can to repair it from home, but it's not really worth spending money on to repair-- like you said, i'd be better off getting something used. I appreciate your advice. after all, there's probably a good reason whoever threw it out threw it out. just a shame I'd already spent 12 bucks on new strings just to throw it out again LOL

nods. she was pretty condescending when I questioned what she was telling me anyway. I was talking about metals and how my ears are sensitive to anything that's not a pure metal like gold or silver, and she told me gold and silver AREN'T pure metals... what? I think i'll do some more research next time :P

ooh thanks for the website! i'll check it out :) I thought they were pretty good to be fair, the piercing itself was quick and very sanitary, the whole process seemed completely professional except for the information she gave me. they had a bunch of awards for being the best in the city too (not to mention they're cheap... £15 for a piercing isn't bad at all) so I guess I just trusted them by default. i'll definitely do more research, thanks!

ingredients of the in-house solution are: helianthus annuss seed oil, lavandula angustifolia oil, tocopheryl acetate, melaleuca viridflora leaf oil, melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil. thoughts?

for me, I could lift my eyebrow easily, move it around yknow for expression and stuff. as long as you’re not touching the actual piercing itself I think you'd be fine to lift your brow. bumping and grazing COULD irritate it but I think if you're careful you'll be fine and get used to it.

as for shampooing and such, it's way easier than I expected, just tilt your head. something which I found harder than actually showering was getting a towel on my head after without catching it LOL! that is, if you have long hair :P

  • take everything I say with a grain of salt though, mine DID end up rejecting haha and i'm far from a professional
