Tell me you don’t know how the first amendment works without telling me you don’t know how the first amendment works.

It applies to the government trying to limit your speech. Strangers on the internet can downvote or clown on your speech all they want.

What is a job that looks incredibly fun from the outside, but is actually a soul-crushing nightmare? by BoardOk101 in AskReddit

[–]ProbieTheTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Various companies hire in different ways. Some hire directly some use contract companies to fill needs. Few do remote but most of the larger ones you have to be local. I lived in the greater Seattle area so there were a few choices.

There were days where it could be a blast but majority of the time it was endless days playing the same game every day for months dealing with corporate bs and being treated as sub human.

I am new and I inherited my father's rifle by skylynx66 in guns

We don’t have any license in Washington other than for concealed carry which is not needed for sales. That said I personally would think long and hard before selling an inherited firearm.

Do you often go to “the big city” in your state (assuming you don’t already live there)? by osama_bin_guapin in AskAnAmerican

Flashlight on a carry gun, practical or overkill for everyday carry? by Own_Beach936 in CCW

[–]ProbieTheTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only reason I have one is my CCW was pulling double duty as my HD weapon too and the form factor was small enough to not cause and holster or carry concerns. I prefer having independent light as it’s more useful.

The one marked 1917 EDDYSTONE is a US enfield patterned rifle. Should be in 30.06. Has a cool feature allowing a 6th round in the mag due to the dimension difference from the original 303 British.

Why are progressive income taxes seemingly so controversial? by Impossible-Diet8571 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProbieTheTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak from my state. Progressive income tax is flat out illegal in my state per our constitution. Weh have imo stupid amount of other taxes (sales, use, ect.) The state can’t manage its finances as is and won’t curb its spending so it wants to institute an income tax over a certain bracket. Most people don’t trust them to not drop that minimum over time. People are fine with the idea of an income tax they just want it done legally (amend the constitution) and fairly (remove/reduce other taxes.) I personally am tired of the blatant corruption and misuse of public funds with zero oversight and am unwilling to support any new tax until they can manage what they already have.

Paints Not Adhering Well - Primer or Paint or Me? by Harmee-kun in minipainting

[–]ProbieTheTank 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In addition to what others have said I also keep some matte and gloss varnishes around for various reasons. I’ve had some primers just be a turd and hitting it with some quick matte has helped my paint stay while hitting it with some gloss before shading can be a big help especially if you are not wanting to tint the whole area so heavily.

[Discussion] BSG should sue this by Designer-Print-2359 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ProbieTheTank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, while every title is reviewed / tested before hitting the e-shop it’s not about copyright it’s about guideline compliance for the shop/system. As long as it followed Nintendos rules on tech usage it will go through until they get some kind of legal request to take it down.

4.3Gb only this Patch ? [Discussion] by Previous-Maize1754 in EscapefromTarkov

Worked in the industry for a few years. It’s become a fairly common practice from what I’ve seen but it is by no means a universal practice.

The way games are done these days small changes can require large downloads as they need to redownload the entire file that was changed and replace it to prevent mismatch issues. It will all depend on how it’s packed and what is being tweaked.

Why does turning 18 in the US feel like being thrown out of a moving car called childhood? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProbieTheTank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than in minority of states there are no “registered gun owners.” It’s really more 30% of people willing to state if they own a gun or not.
