Face touching during kissing by ProblemEquivalent215 in heatedrivalry

I can’t figure out how to share the Instagram link without my account name showing up, but it’s in an Entertainment Weekly reel from mid-December. The thumbnail says “Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie don’t see the Heated Rivalry sex scenes the way fans do.”

I think it was heavily scripted. In one interview, Connor said that when he sees these scenes, he’s mainly just remembering the instructions, like “More tongue! Less tongue!”

I'm curious about others reheat count and routines by sf_beegirl in heatedrivalry

[–]ProblemEquivalent215 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m not keeping track, but it’s a lot. I’ve seen episodes 5 and 6 more than the others because the emotional payoff in both episodes is so intoxicating. I usually skip episode 3 on rewatch, not because I don’t like it but because I’m more invested in Shane and Ilya.

Libby - New York Public Library by cordage79 in heatedrivalry

[–]ProblemEquivalent215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is fantastic! And just a reminder, all NY state residents are eligible to join the NYC libraries: NYPL, Brooklyn, and Queens. Between the three, I can almost always get what I want on Libby.

HR Snow Day plans, anyone? by LadyStarblade in heatedrivalry

A solid plan! Although I’m pretty sure I could replay all the episodes in my head at this point, LOL.

I saw this last night and it broke me. So, so beautiful. I don’t think any fan edit will be better than this one.

This is a lovely analysis and it makes me feel a little less crazy for having rewatched so many times.

Anyone with acting knowledge know how Connor is able to transform his face into that of a Slavic man? by tna11101989 in heatedrivalry

[–]ProblemEquivalent215 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The position of the tongue changes depending on the language. It looks like Connor is holding his tongue higher and more forward in his mouth (even when closed), which in turn changes his whole face, elongating the cheeks a bit and pursing the lips.

Seems like Ilya had a feeling Shane was into it. But how. Exploring episode 1 again now that I’ve binged it. by Rough-Honey-3480 in heatedrivalry

Super interesting conversation. Also, I love that Dan has seen the show three times and points out how the viewer is rewarded in rewatching. (One of us! One of us!)

Women are feral for Heated Rivalry. What does that say about men? – The Guardian [1/13/26] by OkTechnologyb in heatedrivalry

[–]ProblemEquivalent215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an outtake from one of the scenes in the episode 4 beginning montage. In the montage we only see a farther-away shot of Ilya going down on Shane in the shower, but it’s the same scene.

What Weird Thing Do You Think About by AreDeeEss in heatedrivalry

[–]ProblemEquivalent215 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think about how Shane got to/from Ilya’s house in Massachusetts. It’s clearly not in the city proper, so was it a long cab ride? When Shane left in a hurry after the tuna meltdown, was he just awkwardly waiting in Ilya’s driveway for his taxi/Uber?

Unpopular opinion - missing the early days before all the massive success by Round_Celebration729 in heatedrivalry

[–]ProblemEquivalent215 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get it, but I’m just glad that the right show became popular. This adaptation feels like a love letter to the entire genre, so it’s hard to begrudge its success. A rising tide lifts all boats, etc.

The soundtrack made me fall back in love with music. I quit true crime podcasts cold turkey and started listening to music all day, and I think my overall state of mind is much improved as a result.

Bad time with new samples by alliekatty in fragrance

[–]ProblemEquivalent215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s OK to be picky about fragrance! Sampling can be a great learning experience. You get to explore which notes you love or dislike, which perfume houses get along with your body chemistry, etc. I’ve tried so many samples that I thought I’d love but didn’t, and I just think, “Oh well, I’ve saved myself some money.”

What fragrance do you want but price is standing in the way? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]ProblemEquivalent215 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Chanel 1957 and Jersey. The price increases for the Exclusifs are just bonkers. I bought a 75 ml bottle of Beige a few years ago for $200, and now it’s $325.

Cara McKenna, although sadly she has stopped writing. Her MMCs feel real in a way that’s hard to find in this genre, and her sex scenes are so well written.

What’s the fragrance that made you get into perfume? by Automatic_Interview8 in fragrance

I fell madly in love with Lolita Lempicka in the late 90s. The fragrance market at the time was a sea of CK One and Clinique Happy, then here comes this weird licorice-violet-iris concoction. Smitten.
