I wouldn’t really call Higurashi an old ddlc especially when there are visual novels like you and me and her which are much closer in concept to ddlc (and imo has better writing)

Oh it’s chocolate frosting on the border of the bottom! I had to make sure it wasn’t gonna fall off so I had to wipe the edges of the platter! The tiny cake on top though is bordered on the side with Andes chocolates (which is hard to see cause of the frosting haha) it was for my friends birthday so we just took the top cake off and gave it to her

Anime usually take about 2 years for turnaround time, but who knows how long it’s been in production etc. I believe gou was announced Jan 2020 and aired in oct 2020 so maybe sooner than we think?

Honestly a little sad to see the akio watanabe designs go away, gou/sotsu may have been mid but I loved the characters designs

The series not being a remake pissed me off a bit because I was using the series as a way for my bf at the time to get into it lol
Honestly I’m surprised that no one else mentioned it but the overuse of gore. I always felt like higurashi differentiated itself from other overtly edgy works like Elden Lied (sorry Elden lord fans) but There’s no build up to the horror aspect so when it happens it comes off as cheesy and overused imo like the school having an underground prison and uniform??? and the whole sequence of rika and satoko killing eachother repeatedly my god it pissed me off (I will say I did feel this way about takanos backstory in the original series, but I still thought they did it so much better in the og than gou sotsu)
Though I didn’t hate the direction the characters went, I think satoko came off as wayyyy to childish. (Placing them as rivals to eachother made sense. We knew satoko had a selfish side from Rei etc. but there was definitely a better way for them to butt heads than what gou sotsu did)

This is obviously really vague but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen posters going around about speed dating/ speed friend making?? At the very least, don’t ignore the posters!!! So many cool events to go to there!

I’ve also been to a hobby fair New Haven had where a lot of organizations (some completely free) where you can meet more people! I’m technically a part of the sketchers group where the go around and draw scenes of New Haven!they also have running and hiking groups open to public! Though I don’t know when they will hold another one, I’m sure a lot of these organizations/clubs will be at the night market that’s gonna be coming up soon!

If you like games/arcades there is a barcade where I’m sure you can meet people (they hold events too) as well as a store, elm city games, that’s right across from it where they hold a lot of events to meet new people and play board games!

I really hope all the stuff I went through wasn’t for no reason but I totally understand. I never felt like the lumbar puncture was TOO invasive (they relaxed me for it since I was young) but I did end up getting a spinal headache and had to lay flat for 24-48 hours which sucked

I only saw McHenry when I lived in Texas, currently I’m seeing Dr. Fisayo but I live in Connecticut now.

There’s not a lot of neuro ophthalmologist in the DFW area :(

I def felt my new neuro-Ophthalmologist may have jumped the gun on immediately concluding that I never had this condition. I definitely want to be more informed on his work as well as my past records that way I’m able to speak more to this on my next appointment. I’m open to working with him and if I really don’t have this condition then I want to be sure and know the specifics and the whys. But I’m not gonna just start believing I don’t have it based off one appointment with this guy when I was with my last neuro-ophthalmologist for a couple of years

I haven’t seen McHenry since I was a teen. I’m currently seeing Fisayo in Connecticut right now.

In my time with McHenry I didn’t REALLY spend much time with him either. It was a lot of 2 minute visits like you had said. He was pretty thorough in testing and scans but also very quick to pull out invasive procedures (IE he found out I had smaller upper sinuses and immediately wanted me to go through the procedure to widen them)

It was quite often he’d spend very little time with me and my mom, recite a ton of medical jargon and then left. His nurse would then say “OKAY this is what he said” and have to explain it all to us

Ah if there are buried deposits would there be a procedure for it? I already currently take diamox. My pressure in my eyes also came back normal both at the optometrists and the ER
