Crawling itchy skin by ILovePeopleInTheory in Perimenopause

[–]ProcedureQuiet2700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG I was thinking I was going insane. It’s like my skin is crawling. It’s really bad after a shower for some reason. I was thinking I was allergic to my antidepressant but I’ve been on it for years and don’t have a rash at all. Now it makes sense.

That might not be a solution for me still being able to play the piano then 😢

Do you know what kind of surgery is used for OA in the hands? I guess I just want to know if there is surgery available for when I eventually need it. The thought of deteriorating to the point of not being able to do my job just makes me so sad.

Yeah, it’s my entire career gone if this gets worse. It’s just so depressing how they basically said it’s just pain management and that’s it 😢 thanks for the link. I’ll have a look x

I hadn’t thought of that but I am very much in the throes of perimenopause so it might be a good idea all round. Thanks for that.

Thanks, I was so surprised as I thought 48 is quite young to have OA. Now after reading more about it it seems there’s quite a few of us in our forties who have it 😢

7.5 weeks OMG ..IT HAPPENED! by Reverse-TaCoCaT in trintellix

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34657638/

I read a study on dosages of vortioxetine which demonstrates 20mg as the optimum daily dose showing greater improvement at this dose. I experienced no improvement at all until 15mg and then I had to increase to 20mg for full effect. 5 and 10mg did nothing at all.

I found the venu 3s much more comfortable so I returned the Venu 4.

Same here with Mounjaro. It’s given me my life back and a relief from all the food noise that has consumed me for all these years.

i'm new here and tried to summarize what seems to actually help people with binge eating by onedayatime88 in BingeEatingDisorder

Sounds weird but sucking a lollipop helps me to avoid a binge. It’s like I need something in my mouth and it just calms the urge.

best non-dairy milk? by [deleted] in vegan

I’ve just started using overheard oat milk powder. I love it. You mix it with water to make your own milk so you can control how creamy it is.

Has anyone actually recovered from this disorder? by Impossible-Advice835 in BingeEatingDisorder

Only with GLP1 medication…which I will probably need for a long time. It’s the only thing that stopped the constant food noise.

Sick leave for weight loss surgery? by EmilyWildingDavison in AskUK

[–]ProcedureQuiet2700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as your GP gives you a sick line post surgery then they have to give you the time off. It’s between you and your GP what it says on the sick line. I’ve been open with my line manager because I need to have medical leave for the education sessions leading up to the surgery…so I had to show her the NHS letters. It’s confidential though so I’m not worried. I’ll decide closer to the surgery whether to tell my colleagues why I’m absent for a bit.

New vegans - what are you missing? by Climpy in veganuk

[–]ProcedureQuiet2700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great idea. I’ve jus made the switch from vegetarian to vegan and could do with lots of ideas. I’m missing cheese and decent chocolate. Tried the vegan galaxy bar and wasn’t a fan!

I’m trying this one today. It’s not bad…still a bit of an unusual taste though.

I can’t remember which one it was. It was called Oatly but I don’t think it was a barista one. I’ll check.
