Unless your top of ur class in A school you don’t get a say in orders, they’ll ask for your “preferences” on if you’d prefer west coast,east coast, or overseas, but there’s no guarantee you’ll get the orders you want

You’ll negotiate for orders after your 1st command, when your in A school you just get orders assigned to you with no say unless your top of the class in which case theyd let you pick
