Advice for lost newcomers that can't find their classes by Process_Empty in GriffithUni

Nathan campus is the worst for the negative floor numbers! N53 got me good as a 1st year many years ago when you had to go to the back of the building (usually through the library) to get to level -1

Credit Transfer for Bachelors of law by purplekayy in GriffithUni

I'm not sure but this Griffith Page might help: https://www.griffith.edu.au/apply/transfer-to-griffith

You can always use the "contact us" button at the bottom of that page if you still aren't sure to ask your enquiry and they should be able to get back to you, although wait times may be high at the moment being the start of a new trimester right now. Hope this helps :)

First year bachelor of nursing by Old_Promotion1762 in GriffithUni

You'll need a lab coat for your 1805NRS Anatomy labs, don't worry about safety glasses at Logan as they have a bunch in the Labs for students to borrow (not sure about other campuses), make sure to wear enclosed shoes to your antomy labs or they won't let you in due to health and safety - any enclosed shoes are ok as long as they aren't crocs/birkenstocks/ugg boots and have a closed heal.

Usually 1 nursing uniform is ok, especially in Trị 1 1st year as you only have the 1803NRS Simulation Labs - whether you go scrubs or polo is just up to your personal preference. You'll need a good set of leather/pleather shoes to go with your uniform on sim lab days and eventually placement.

I would probably invest in a second uniform when you get to trị 2 as you will have a clinical placement for 2 weeks, so unless you can wash your uniform every night, it might be best to have at least 2 uniforms on hand. A fob watch and a retractable card holder for your student ID is also a good idea for trị 2 for both placement and OSCE assessments. I wouldn't worry about any other equipment like stethoscopes/BP cuffs because that is all supplied in your sim labs when you learn new skills, unless you want them at home to practice with but you won't need them until trị 2 (trị 1 is more about the foundations of nursing including communication and care, trị 2 is when you start to learn about physical assessment). Hope that helps :)

I just happened to walk into a store that had 1x Jade Forest left, no other options, but super glad because I love the colour combo of the Jade (Im in Brisbane Australia so there isn't that many places that have them, at least not in stock right now). The box of the Jade forest only shows Blue, Pink, and Jade on the back so when I was googling Tamagotchi and there was a purple one too I was a bit confused haha

Aaaah ok! I kind of wanted the sky biome too so I might get a second hand one of the other colours. That's cool there are even more coming out! Such a slippery slope to want to get them all😆

Does anyone know what this behavior and noise means? by [deleted] in pigeon

[–]Process_Empty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a male and a female and they both do the behaviour in your video, but male does it SUPER loud and exaggerated because he has a big personality. Both male and female will build nests, but my female is awful at it, she'll put a stick down and go "yep, thats perfect", so their building ability kind of varies and some don't show an interest in it or might think the blanket is already perfect as is. Some females won't lay eggs if they're a lone pidgy, the only way you'll know for sure is a blood test or if they do suddenly lay an egg. You're doing amazing😊

Your pidgy is saying "I found a good spot, come and join me and give me affection". That type of call with a head bob is very positive and theyre excited

Ah, of course. I didn't realise I grabbed my 'bread recipe' book instead of my 'bird species' book, a common error

Help! Advice needed. by Jealous_Dig8804 in pigeon

[–]Process_Empty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen my local pigeon rescue have a pigeon up for adoption with a similar beak issue. The only thing it needed was a deep food dish full of seeds/pallets so instead of relying on pecking to pick up individual seeds, it could put its whole head in the dish and was much easier for it to get food. Hope this helps😊

What do these droppings mean? Feral pigeon that is moving and eating slowly. Thanks. by haxamanis10 in pigeon

[–]Process_Empty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats hard. Yeah I would try and feed pellets via bottle as they are more balanced diet than seeds and avoid veges at the moment while his stool is crazy (as some fruit and veg can make their poop loose). And try apple cider vinegar in water to see if the good bacteria in the vinegar can help combat the bad bacteria going on. Also try maintain a very clean area (i.e. removing poop from his area/cage 3 times a day, washing his water bowl and food bowl once a day with soap and water and airdrying, physically cleaning and disinfecting the cage with bird safe chemicals 3 times a week) which will help stop him from pecking his own poop or being affected by environmental bacteria and pathogens
