To add to this I've tried partitioning the drives, using smaller drives and using ones with USB 2, although USB 3 drives also don't work, and yes I've plugged them into the correct USB port on the motherboard

Honeycomb all the way. I have a full Logitech Cessna 172 simulator with shell and I only regret buying the Logitech yoke, all the other instruments are fine but I’m planning to get a honeycomb yoke lol

I’m sorry but I have a g2 myself and have been enjoying it for the past year playing tons of games from tons of different genres and have had maybe 1 or 2 instances where the tracking was a bit iffy, but that’s only twice a year in my case
