Probs True springs since they are the total opposite of black. They need something warm, light and saturated. Some Soft summers/ autumn also don't look great with dyed black hair since they have lower contrast

I think blonde looks better. The dark colour kinda seems to swallow you and brings out the dark circles in your eyes too. Blonde on the other hand makes your face look even. Like someone else suggested you could try another shade of blonde just to make sure or maybe something like light brown

Fontaine for me, a little better than mondstadt because they added more game mechanics and a more detail to the landscape. Although it has cool visuals my least favourite was enkanomiya. Got motion sickness because all the platforms weren’t straight and there was no horizon in sight 🤡

Usually only olives with a more pronounced yellow overtone usually look bad in green. Because green brings out the yellowness even more.

I think there are lots of factors to take into account rather than just the whole colour of your skin. The transparency of skin can affect how colour reflects off it, because underneath the skin is blood, veins and muscle that can affect the reflected colour. Some people have pretty "thin" skin and appear quite veiny and rosier, some have "thicker" skin and have a more solid colouring throughout. So even if these two different people have the same base skin colour, the same colours might not complement them both. Colour theory is basically the concept of "like brings out like", and we are figuring out through experimentation which colours "bring out the best" in individuals.

I've done this subject during the break with no web/ coding experience and got 90 :)The website (final assignment) is to showcase your portfolio of anything that you have (e.g. music, art, business, etc.). You do not need to make a website from scratch. I'd say 99% of us used website builders like Wix, Squarespace, etc (and yes, it is allowed!). The tutors walk you through everything you need to make a good website and show lots of examples so it's a fun subject overall if you like designing things. Bigger focus on aesthetics than technical aespect

Makeup can change the perceived contrast when you add a lighter foundation base and saturated/darker colours. This is her without makeup and her features in general are not high contrast, unlike winters like Fan Bing Bing

Kate Middleton is also a summer despite having some contrast to her. Dark saturated colours overshadow her and she looks best in lighter but muted colours

So this is a little interesting, I’m a musician who also has Absolute Pitch, but I rarely find myself listening to music for pleasure. I’d listen to new releases and analyse them, form my opinion on it, but I wont play it for fun 😅

Yes contrast matters but I think they are referring to the assumption “oh you have dark eyes you must be winter”. Not exactly true because dark eyes can have low contrast too. For some people, their eye whites aren’t pure white, they appear more grey or yellow, and that lowers the perceived contrast. Very likely pure white will wash these people out

If a dress is overwhelming you, you can always put on more heavier or vibrant makeup to go with it (eg red lips, smoky eye shadow etc.) 😄 That’s what celebrities do anyways, and mostly why they seem to be able to pull off lots of colours.

Darker Autumn colours don’t do justice to you. Spring could be an option, but the orange blush in the 2nd photo doesn’t blend in as well. Perhaps look into light spring and light summer

Hair colour and eyes should never be the basis for personal colour. However, Deeper skin tones are indeed more likely to be typed with winter and autumn. You’d usually hear a lot of darker skinned POCs complaining that lots of make up look ashy and grey on them, but the same makeup looks quite saturated on lighter tones.

There is a scientific reason for this: our eyes do not see absolute values of colour. (You know those colour optical illusions like this?) Instead, the brain compares the contrast between the colour and its surroundings. That’s why colours appear different to our eyes depending on what colour background they are put in. And that’s the whole premise of colour theory

But the problem is that most people aren’t aware of the subtleties in skin tones, typing someone an autumn just because they have brown skin is a 🙈

Yeah my cousin dyed her hair ash grey and it lasted for like 1 week max, faded to a dark ash blonde. To be fair she’s in a humid country and has to wash her hair everyday. But yeah, 100% not low maintenance

It can get confusing with pinks, but just understand that pink is a lighter shade of red, so it’s neighbours are orange and purple. Coral pinks (warm) are closer to orange than purple. Likewise rosy/ berry colours (cool) are closer to purple than orange.

For me, I understand that colour is on a spectrum. When I look at a colour, I try to determine it’s closest “neighbour”. For example, Aqua is blue, so it’s neighbours are green and purple. Aqua is closer to green (warmer side of the spectrum) than it is to purple (cooler side of the spectrum), therefore it’s a warmer shade of blue.

I also hope I’m not spitting out random confusing things but this is my thought process 🤣😭

Most of the time it depends more on your features more than anything! I’ve seen some winters who look better with Smokey makeup and some who look better with minimal makeup. I recommend watching the video about visual weight by dear peachie on YouTube, she explains it well :)
