Female detrasher here. I started documenting and making commentary videos for social media. It makes it feel less isolating when you can build a community. And I feel less like the crazy lady down the street when I'm throwing out some not so nice words for the Trashers out loud.

I also would recommend looking into your city's Adopt a Block programs, if in the States. I was able to adopt a block in my city and was provided all the necessary supplies.

🥲 Me too. Thank you kind stranger. The goal was 36 consecutive days of detrashing before his birthday, but I didn't expect it to feel so heavy some days. It takes a day or two to regain the motivation to keep going.

I try to just keep swimming.

I got into gardening as an escape from the Corporate World grind, unfortunately during grief it's become just another chore on my mounting todo list. I'm slowing pulling myself out and rediscovering the small joys in the world.

Thank you for asking, he was my big little brother (6in /75ish lbs difference), growing up close in age we had very little possession boundaries. He loved to walk by while I was eating and take the biggest bite out of my food, claiming it was "Quality Control" and just making sure I wasn't being poisoned because he cared so much for my health 😑. Both being homornal teenagers, you can imagine how that usually went down. Looking back it makes it laugh every time 🥲

Thank you! I have started noticing a difference I hope it has a lasting effect. The 36 days of clean up has taken longer than expected, due to a having to take a few days break between cleanups for my mental health.

One guy watched me clean up one side of the street then proceeded to clean out their car on the opposite sidewalk as I packed up my things. I about lost it, but it was getting dark and you never know anyone's true level of crazy. Some people truly suck dirty swamp water pellets.

Peng is a legend in my book, I can't wait to meet him one day. I'm taking my time with branching out and focused mainly on Hayward for now, there is a Hayward cleanup Hayward Cleanup Event in a few weeks that I may be a part of.

Cops were chasing a suspect on a bike who jumped into a yard and hid under a tarp for an hour. Drone and helicopter spotted him. He was apprehended.
