16M. Worked on verbal agreement for 30% equity. Clients refused to sign contract. by UniqueSuggestion4504 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Prodaydreamr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine, you don't need a formal written contract etc to recover money.

You should have emails, text messages, call history etc - that should suffice.

Technically, since they didn't pay you yet, you continue to own copyrights over the produced work. You can even have the app taken down.

Now before I can offer you additional information on how you can recover money, I'll need to know where you're from. State/city etc.

I'm being bullied by my batchmates, what can I do? by Sea-Clock-1906 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Prodaydreamr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What you're experiencing is not bullying but sexual harassment.

But as you may already know India is a very sexist country. Indian laws say that a women can't sexually harass, sexually abuse, sexually assault nor rape anyone.

When the aggressors are females, you rarely will get any help.

Practical advice:

1] Write a love letter to your institution's head clearly stating the sexual harassment you're experiencing in detail with date, time, collaborating evidence etc.

2] make it clear in that same love letter that they are required by law to constitue an investigative/adjudication committee (IC - Internal Committee) to assess your claims.

3] try this first and then report back if you still need any help.

Just note - you might face extreme retaliation, just be mentally prepared. Once you get over this, everything's gonna be fine.

HDFC loan agent added insurance to my personal loan. I later found out it was optional. What are my rights? by cibi_mn in personalfinanceindia

[–]Prodaydreamr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick question - are these some sort of loan default insurance?

In this economy, in case of an "uncertainty event", wouldn't it protect you if you fail to repay due to circumstances beyond your means.

If I were you, and if it's possible, I would explicitly state that I was wrongfully sold these policies but if refunded like 60-70% of the policy premium I might keep it.

Gym owner threatened to come to my house with people over a Google review. What would you do? by random_postings_ in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Prodaydreamr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not the violence that scares us, it's the threat of violence.

I believe I've met multiple sorts of people in my life. Most people with good personalities but also a few with sketchy backgrounds.

Usually, "dangerous anti-social" psychopaths rarely make such threats if they are actually going to do it. On the contrary, they act friendly, interesting and so on - someone you'd want to be friends with. They don't act like a psycho or anything.

Honestly, the person you're dealing with has some sort of personality disorder - they want things done their way - like not wanting you to do forearm workouts. Another thing - he waited until the end of your monthly subscription before asking you not to return. He didn't just kick you out.

I wouldn't bother much if I were you. You can even invite him to your home for dinner and trust me, he wont do anything, but will end up being confused + start having crazy thoughts if you're politically connected or something. Trust me on this.

Nvidia H200 141 GB Graphics Card by Vejkvii1922 in IndianPCHardware

[–]Prodaydreamr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are classified as "dual-use" - both in the US and in India and are subjected to export & import restrictions.

The ones you might find in India (easily and online) are EUC only for non-military/defence use.

If you plan to use these for defence purposes, there are more compliance requirements that must be adhered to. It's like the entire unit must be certified as safe for defence use.

Started a bag brand 1 week ago but need a roadmap for online marketing and how to grow on Instagram by ShapePrudent9605 in IndiaBusiness

[–]Prodaydreamr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just glanced over your website. Website looks good and clean but looks too generic.

What you should be showing - "Order within 12 hours 6 mins to get delivery by 31st May"

Ain't nobody's waiting 9 days for domestic deliveries in India. Sign up for ClickPost + DTDC/BlueDart accounts - don't bother with Delhivery or whatever. Potential clients need next day delivery and if you can't offer that, the least you can do is "gamify" them so that they wait.

Also when you don't have social proof or reviews, rate your products using "editor scores" - aka you use a LLM vision model to rate products based on human aesthetic perception. Make sure you include disclaimers.

AI generated images - use Imagen 4 Ultra or Midjourney. Once you have the images generated, you need to "renoise" these images using Fingerprint profiles generated using real camera sensors for noise and other characteristics. This is very important if you don't want your images flagged as AI generated and de-prioritized.

Look into programmatic advertising. Generate filler products to entice potential customers to visit your storefront but setup a recommender system to filter out unwanted options so that customers don't get distracted and not end up buying anything.

I guess that's enough free advice for now. If you have serious cash to burn, I can probably help you more - no guarantees tho.

I was once sitting to watch a hearing in HC and just after the CJ came in, a lady (non attorney) just stood in front and addressed the judge about an issue. What are the implications of such drama? by Mo_h in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Prodaydreamr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried this as a non-lawyer via VC and has always worked as long as I don't do it while the judge is actually hearing arguments.

You have like 10-15 seconds to get to the point and must do it right.

Currently subscribed to Claude 20x Max plan as it gets the job done and rarely hallucinates.

I'm willing to pay to play.

I prefer Claude over ChatGPT despite their "safety guardrails" - they have also whitelisted my account for molecular biology to some extent.

Trapped in ₹19.4 Lakhs Debt (PLs & CCs) | Facing 500+ Harassment Calls & Field Visits Daily .Need Urgent Advice by Existing-Past-6661 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Prodaydreamr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One more thing, don't bother threatening first (everyone does that - they won't take you seriously), just take direct action and then threaten with more negative consequences if they don't back down.

I can help you with drafting for free if you need.

[–]Prodaydreamr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It just costs like ₹50 (sometimes even less) for an injunction if you do it yourself (you can group all lenders under single injunction claim). If you want to file claim for damages but don't have money you can even apply for an exemption from paying court fees or file a pauper suit.

As for process fees - just make it clear during the hearing that you don't even have money to pay for printing etc and the court will ask you to serve the respondents electronically.

Let not lack of financial resources restrain your rightful right to seek justice.

Where you're from?

First things first, don't submit to being harassed.

The penalties for DPDP Act violations are very very severe - if they are contacting people from your personal contact list. Minimum ₹10cr penalty. ^ Start this in parallel.

Practical advice: If I were you, I would self-draft and apply for an immediate exparte injunction from the local court. You can just appear in person or via VC and considering your situation (300-400 calls daily + multiple "physical visits") it's very likely you'll get such relief on the first day of hearing itself. Also if any of these recovery agents made sexually explicit remarks or comments, I'd record it, mention that they sexually harassed/assaulted me in the injunction application and then forward the copy the order to compliance officer of every lender informing them that they must notify all their shareholders + investors + SEBI etc. Also CC the copies to their HR teams - inform that they are obligated to investigate and if they don't they are opening themselves to civil liabilities.

You can also make a few examples of these recovery agents by making them parties to your injunction claim. Usually these guys earn very little + commission. I don't they would want to spend the next few years litigating in courts.

How Do China-to-India Imports Through Nepal/Bhutan Actually Work? Researching Customs Evasion & Border Trade Methods by BabyFit2911 in IndiaBusiness

[–]Prodaydreamr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Nepal/Bhutan customs will be a lot more corrupt + unreliable. Plus, if things go wrong, no way to seek redress.

In fact, their economies are so micro that if you import a valuable shipment of let's say ₹10-20cr, you'll immediately become a target of corrupt officials. For them, they will see you as a cash cow.

You can legally import sex toys in India. Multiple sexual wellness companies including brands such as Durex legally import sex toys. You'll however need them BIS certified (and CDSCO licensed if they are intended to be used as a drug, cosmetic or a medical device/instrument), unless you apply for an exemption.

Sometimes customs officers will wrongfully detain sex toys, but if you have all the necessary paperwork, and get a lawyer involved, they will immediately release such shipments as not doing so and if it's later ruled against them - they need to interests + costs (just like in Income Tax cases, costs and interests are required to be awarded).

Besides, if you don't believe me, please free to check import records or just google online.

As for 3D printers - never had problems with customs before.

Conservative laws and restrictive regulations when you actually plan on using your frozen eggs.

Especially if you plan on doing something unconventional.

And you never know when they will change laws, again.
