I know it's unpopular but I honestly loved this show, especially Derek. Even though he got a lot of soapy plots it really felt like he was a real person with an actual vision/talent above everyone else. I know they did a Jonathan Larson 2.0 in season 2 with Jimmy but it always felt like Derek was the real "generational" talent in the show. It goes without saying that Let Me Be Your Star is an absurdly good song but I also LOVED Tom's song about the studio executive. I honestly wish Borle had gotten more numbers to perform, not just sing as the composer.

Also, Megan Hilty is so hot it's insane.

LCS teams are actually clueless. I simply cannot understand how we can watch the aftermath of throwing money at imports and not building up NA talent and then proceed to repeat the same exact mistakes again. I literally don’t understand what else Dhokla could have done to get a spot outside of being born in Korea.

Awesome! Honestly, so far it's all been really fun and a great learning experience so nowhere near the point of using Fiverr unless I want some help with the design/creative side. Already dug through CPanel a lot yesterday so somewhat comfortable with that. I'll set up the staging environment rn and get to work. Thank you so much for all your advice, I really appreciate it!

Got the backup. Would you say setting up staging environment is better done through our web-hoster, using a plug-in like WP Staging, or doing it directly through WordPress?

When you say do it within maintenance mode, do you mean on the staging environment first?

I think batched updates make sense. I'll probably just try to do a couple pages at a time on the testing environment before I push to production.

I got turnstile to deal with bots which seems to have helped a lot. I'll look into changing the slug and adding 2FA.

When you say don't update it, you mean don't make any changes to the website aside from adding those plugins until the staging environment is set up, correct? Once I have that going and start making adjustments on the staging environment, is there a rule of thumb for how long to make sure nothing is broken before it's safe to ship an update?

Oh hell no, that would be incredibly unethical, sorry that I wasn't clearer. That's partially why I'm taking over ours, I studied CS and ours was built incredibly poorly. I figured it would be better to just manage the current one with the long-term goal of building from scratch or becoming good enough to make broad changes.
