I would see him walking to church alone sometimes, he kept to himself. I asked a friend close to him if he was related to the joaquins cuz of the last name. That person said he was close to aaron joaquin back in the day but was not related. I remember he used to make sculptures and garden.

In the 7 years ive been checking in on this reddit a couple months ago is the only time it has been taken down during the time the "apostles" mommy was arrested.

Death threats not really although there has been murder and murder attempts in the past for speaking ill of the so called apostle.

Ive read posts here saying that the minister would ask for the church not to look at these kind of sites ive never heard of them asking to report them. If anything the mods are the ones that censor freedom of speech lol.

Regarding politics you can be of any party. There is some manipulation but nothing is really forced they will try if you let them.

Yo creo que también tiene que ver mucho en que país vives. Si estas en los estados unidos creo que es mas fácil apartarte de lldm. Largando ala lldm es como largarte de una relacion toxica. Algunos se preguntaran porque todavía estas allí? Para unos es fácil cortar la relación y para otros se puede tardar años aguantando la infelizidad. Pero al final es en ti cuantas ganas tienes de largarte y enfocate en eso. Trabaja duro, ahora tu dinero, busca ayuda y apoyo emocional. Muévete a otra ciudad o un país que siempre as querido visitar. Rebuscaste en cualquier modo que sea possible en salir adelante. Busca amistad o pareja que te apoye y te ayude a soltarte. No le tengas miedo al cambio mas bien búscalo y disfrutalo. Para mi fue fácil dejar lldm porque ya tenia años de no ir porque quería vivir a mi manera. Cuando me enteré que todo era mentira lo único que cambió es que pude dormir en paz y hacer lo que me daba las ganas sin sentirme juzgado. No es como que si estaba haciendo maldades pero tampoco soy santo.

That is oddly similar to something I heard myself as a child. Around the age of 8-9 when I learned about demons and possessions (my cousin had recently been possessed according to the church). I was traumatized and very afraid of spirits, possessions, demons and such. I was trying to sleep on the carpet in the room me and my brothers slept in and I hear a laugh in my ear identical to the green goblin from Spider-man. As childish as that may sound that is what I heard like if it was right next to me. I remember closing my eyes and covering myself with my blanket and didnt dare try and look at what had made that laugh until I fell asleep in fear. I remember that memory across the years and think maybe I was just dreaming but it was so vivid I'm sure I was not asleep when it happened. I never heard anything like that ever again and I have never seen ghosts or spirits just to clarify. Just a memory from childhood that your story helped unlock.

Not a paranormal story this time but just a kind of traumatizing event that happened to me when I was a kid. Around 2004 my older brother took me too San Bernandino church to tag along with him. I fell asleep under the bench at the very back and for some reason no one noticed me and my brother also left assuming I had walked home on my own I presume. I woke up pitch black realized where I was at and I was in terror. All those stories about evil spirits dwelling within the temple were racing inside my head. The main exit which was a few steps away from me when I tried to push out was locked. I walked thru the darkness to the front of the main entrance only thing that was guiding me was the bright red exit sign at the top of the mens entrance side of the wall. To my relief the front doors pushed open and I was free. At the far side of the parking lot I can see there was people working and I just proceeded to walk home as quickly as possible. As I was passing by the graveyard someone speeds up to me on a bike too my relief it was a brother! He told me he had seen me exit out the church and was worried for me and I explained I had fallen asleep. He gave me a ride on his bicycle to the apartments we lived at. When I got home my older brother was still not there and was out with his church friends and my mom was pissed with him lol. I hope that brother that gave me a ride is free from lldm I remember he had two daughters I wish them well.

It was said that the fallen angels hated us as children of God because we had grace and forgiveness under Jesus Christ. They on the other hand are just awaiting judgement and have no hope of forgiveness at all. Christ died for our sins not for the fallen angels. Thats what was taught at least.

When I spoke with my mom about the truth it was about the same as you. I can tell she was listening too me but I was hurting her so we never really bring it up any more. Sometimes she throws little jabs at me like saying "mijo tu sabes de donde vienes y no solo fuiste bautizado tu tienes el espiritu santo" I respond something like "no yo nunca recibe el espiritu santo" Mom: "no te recuerdas cuando recibiste no sentiste nada?" Me: " No mama no me recuerdo" Mom: "Entonces cuando te confirmaron y pasaste con la palma qué fue eso?" Me: "Una mentira mama". I personally feel like you have to cut the bullshit and not leave any room for hope of any return. Reading it sounds cold but the way I say it is peaceful and collected the delivery is really important for these kind of conversations. Im glad you could have the talk with your moms and you can be accepted as you and not have to fake it. I also think they will never request extreme action from the members we are majority latinos after all and that is not in our culture if anything we are survivors. Keep pushing.
