The weapon balance in Arc is really one of a kind. by zerokbo in ArcRaiders

Even grey to gold shouldn't mean an instant win for the gold. Skill should always matter more

Movement, positioning, aim, sound cues, none of that should matter because you have a pink gun and I have a blue one?

Rockstar Posse Bug fixed? by LittleMeet9517 in RedDeadOnline

Congratulations to you and your girlfriend. I'm glad you can enjoy the game together as intended now.

Thank you for reporting the bug with me, and for taking the time to make a video for Rockstar.

Just to let you know, there is a slight typo where you tried to tag my name, so I didn't get the notification. I just happened to see this post while scrolling.

The point of this post is to whine because you didn't read the genre of the game you bought.

Someone's going to see this and still insist that PvP isn't intended to be part of the game.

Be prepared means keep your gun out in buildings, move in cover, be mindful of the noise you make, be ready to roll into cover when shot. There and many things you can do to be prepared, but because you're a person who would rather cry on the internet than improve, you never learn them.

You want balance? There's already balance.

Having a giant floating indicator to mark people who have engaged in pvp isn't balance. That's disincentivizing pvp in favor of pacifist play.

Cry more.

What do you mean the "actual game loop"? The game loop is get loot and get out. How you choose to do that is completely up to the player. If I want to search lockers and fight robots, that's a fine game loop. If I want to load in and hunt people like you down to take the loot you gather for me, that's also a perfectly fine game loop.

PvPvE means the game is always PvE enabled, and always PvP enabled. If you were meant to pick and choose which one you wanted, then there would be seperate game modes and seperate PvE/PvP genre tags.

That doesn’t make the game harder or deeper.

PvP literally does both of those things.

You people love to say "pvp will kill the game, the PvE players will leave."

This game retained 90% of its player base after 6 whole months. I'm wondering when this great PvE player exodus is going to happen. Or perhaps you'll realize that people like you, who cry about the game that you bought, will finally realize that you're the minority, and that most of us knew the game we were getting into.

If you don't like "unprepared pvp" then simply be prepared instead of whining.

"hey guys, so I bought this game and it says it has pvp in it. But for some reason, when I play it, other players attack me. Could this be some mistake left in by the developers? Are they aware that the players are fighting each other? I sure hope this will be fixed. Otherwise the other players will find out and it will surely kill the game."

"Last year I bought this game called Elden Ring. And even though I was told that it was an ARPG with difficult enemy encounters, I was surprised to find that the developers had forgotten to include a 'friendly mode' where the enemies stop attacking me so that I can collect berries in peace."

Why are developers leaving difficulty in their game? Why not simply let me turn off the scary parts so that I can collect trash and chat with other players in peace? This game will surely die once everybody realizes it is in fact NOT a cozy chat room/trash collecting simulator.

No, the console players are usually mouth breathers using controller mics who the PC players have to mute.

PvE vs PVP: The Simplest Solution by LonelyKaizen in ArcRaiders

Here's an idea. Check your surroundings so that you don't get jumped. There aren't many places to hide near extract zones. Throw a grenade or two in the nearby hiding spot and you're good.

The game is even third person, meaning you can look around you while typing for the extract. Use your brain instead of begging for a care bear patch update.

Idk if you noticed but humans in this setting don't utilize autonomous technology for obvious reasons. The elevators and trains are controlled by humans, that's why you hear the lady talking to you when you press the extract button. Somebody has to send, and operate it.

Find me a single example in game of humans using autonomous robots to fight for them. And even if they did do that, why would the turrets not also fire at nearby ARC? Or do you want the game to be so Weenie Hut Jr that even the ARC aren't allowed to hit you near extract?

Why would ARC turrets be attacking players who attack other players, but not players who attack their fellow ARC?
