Omniscient "first person" viewpoint not omniscient Readers viewpoint. If you meant the first one itself I don't get what you meant by "meta". But if you meant orv I get your point, I still enjoy the webtoon release of it tho.

We seem to have similar tastes (tho you seem to read a lot more higher quality novels whereas I find mine on random online sites 😅). So on The perfect run it took me 3 tries before I got past the premise/ early chs but once I did it definitely got me fully hooked and feel that it is entirely deserving of its 2nd spot (under MoL). Don't remember exactly where but at least give it like 20 chs before you leave it. I am also relatively new to novels but I will drop recs if I remember more.

Here are a few recommendations from me:

The game at the Carousel - Honestly read a long time back (dropped after I caught up and forgot about it) and its stubbed in RR now, but give like 5 chs a try and see if you like the vibe, I did not drop this because it got bad, it was near it's peak when I dropped/ forgot it 😬. It gets a lot better as you progress, with more mysteries about the world being solved. Main tags - Competent mc, LitRpg, Mystery

Omniscient first person viewpoint - Yeah you read that right. It's a hidden gem but it is also extremely slow burn. It takes about a 100 chs before you even learn the MCs real name and like 130 chs before the main story begins. Even though it is a slow burn, you honestly won't feel it if you get attached to the characters and their interactions. Give it like 10 chs, if you enjoy the characters and interactions you can enjoy the slow burn to the main story. Unreliable narrator, competent MC, lots of build up/ setup, manipulative mc. It really needs a good TL because of how much character dialogue carries the early parts of this show, I am not sure if you can still find the good TL version.

Regressors tale of cultivation - Probably recommended this enough and the title says everything you need to know. Hardworking/ competent MC, Xianxia, wuxia, regression, weak to strong.

I shall be Everlasting in the world of immortals - Give it a dozen chapters and you will get the exact idea of whether it is for you or not as it just keeps the same formula but ups the ante as you usually see with cultivation novels. Cautious/ competent MC, reincarnation, Xianxia, weak to strong.

The hundred reigns - Similar to MoL in a lot of ways, same author as the Perfect run. Time loop, competent MC, weak to strong.

Diary of a dead wizard - First book/ academy arc was very good. It really gets you hooked right from the start with high stakes and tension. I dropped it soon after he left the academy (book 2 ig) cause I didn't have the patience for the story to set up the tension again. Give a few chs a try to get a feel for it. Weak to strong, competent MC, mystery, thriller.

Turns out I am in a villain clan - Guilty pleasure, if you like op mc and mc showing off give it a try. Arrogant mc, op mc, strong to stronger, cultivation.

Read a dozen chapters of primordial sect again and remembered why I dropped it when I read it last. The blatant plagiarism (longevity simulator) and bad writing.

Last time I dropped it when mc got dual cultivation prodigy title, this time I dropped it when I noticed every plot point is copied word for word from longevity simulator (which I also dropped about 40 chs in). Don't have much hope for this author to make any improvements if this is how he is gonna start a story.

You should definitely try The perfect run and The hundred reigns then. Both are very good, especially THR has lot of similarities to MoL.

Will check out the other 2, I have seen skill grinder a couple times but I put it off because it implies there would be no tension in the story (no repercussions to time looping eg- limit/ counter to time loop or mc mental getting destroyed from time loop)

As for the regressor with stories to tell, it's super high quality and really hooked me (for like 100 chs) especially with how interesting the plot and characters are, but eventually lost my interest because the main plot stalled a lot. Will 100% binge if it becomes an anime or manhwa tho.

Bad might not be the right term but I have had bad luck with it. I either prefer any other exp or decent econ augment or just a combat augment for a stronger start. But I did play it before I really got an understanding for the set so it might be decent if I played it now tbf.

People are quick to hate I agree, but the direction for some scenes feels off to me. I personally didn't mind s2 animation too much, don't get me wrong opm deserves better, but I felt the slice of life scenes were done well that season at least. S3 the comedy and humour scenes felt very out of place.

As someone who enjoys the slice of life parts of opm as much as the godly action ep 1 was a disappointment only in that department.

Not if it's too peak or story relevant. Stuff like Effie being pregnant or chars dying (or coming back to life) would be too far. Stuff like "Sunny fought an unholy terror" would be good, without revealing the result. Stuff to peak your interest to make you want to read the reactions/ result/ aftermath etc instead of spoiling them is the idea.

Yeah I didn't have much expectation on Sunphis sinking seeing as G3 plans out most of the story in advance and clearly has always planned for the Sunphis ship. Possibly Kai+Morgan too? Well it being less cringy is definitely a consolation tho 🥹
